Please Streamline your map layouts

I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like the fact that the weapon layout on the map changes every time a different gametype gets voted.

For instance, just looking at Haven:

Default Haven, with the Sticky Detonator, Scattershot, and Needler
Infinity Haven, with the Concussion Rifle, and Energy Sword
Throwdown Haven, with the Sniper and Concussion Rifle
Legendary Haven, with the Rockets, Sniper, and Concussion Rifle
Doubles Haven, with the Speed Boost, Sniper, and Railgun.

And then there are even more variations in Ricochet, CTF etc.

We have so many completely different variations of Haven, it’s kind of ridiculous, can’t we just find one stable weapon layout to apply to all of them? I guess it’s not bad that Throwdown is unique, it even get’s a unique name when you save it (V5 Haven), but everything else is just Haven. I’m fairly certain the community as a whole would be thankful if for instance, Infinity Haven was the one used in Doubles and Legendary. As well as across all Objective gametypes.

It is pretty lame. It’s probably because each game mode plays so much differently. I’m sure it would’ve been different had the maps been designed for on-map pickups instead of Ordnance.

Well I can perfectly understand why the map was updated from Default, as well as why Throwdown specifically is designed differently.

However, I don’t really get why the map needs to be the different across every single other gametype.

Random Ordinance should just be completely off of the map, the only random Ordinance should be your personal ordinance in Infinity Settings. And then aside from that the same static power weapons regardless of gametype should work, just like it did in previous Halo games.

Then if you’re going to have a completely alternate weapon spawn name the map something different (I.E. Epitaph/Epilogue, Sandtrap/Sandtarp, Snowbound/Boundless)

Ragnarok is another one. For some reason there is a different Ragnarok for Slayer than the one for CTF. And yet another slightly altered one for Neutral Flag. Who’s decision was it that the Rocket Hog is fine for Slayer, but not fine for CTF? Even BTB CTF?

Same with Exile, so many things change just because you’re on a different gametype. And when you save the maps for customs, you have to save the same map as many as 5 times just to cover all the variants that appear in MM.
