Please STOP with the scope modifications

I already don’t know what half of them do and they just get in the way, please stop adding new ones.

EDIT: also too many attachments

I still want a light rifle with a sentinel scope. If you’d like to know what a scope does you could always ask…we’d be happy to answer your questions. There is nothing wrong with adding a bit of variety and I guarantee you there is someone who is fond of each and every scope variant out there somewhere in Halo-land.

I’m sure at least every scope is loved by someone.

IMO, there are too many with too many attachments, not only is it confusing it clutters up the UI. Perhaps being able to tag variants to hide would be useful.

Who doesn’t like scrolling through 34 BRs?

Well, ideally I’d like to see Halo six adopt a model where you select the base weapon, select the scope of your choice, then select the attachment of your choice…but improving the user friendliness wasn’t what you asked for, you asked for them to stop making variants. And I frankly wouldn’t want to make the guy or gal who has been yearning for a BR with a light rifle scope unhappy.

The scopes don’t really do much of anything. It’s the attachments that affect the weapon themselves. But, from what I’ve seen:

Recon - Battle Rifle’s scope
Longshot - DMR’s scope
Projection - holographic display IIRC
Hybrid - Carbine’s scope
COG - “Marks” targets and displays their current shielding and health (Blue and red meters) when in red reticule range.

Then there’s the attachments, like Kinetic Bolts which do in fact alter how the weapon works. The one I’ve always been confused about is the Laser Targeter one, which says it increases accuracy but… What does that mean?
I’ve seen people say conflicting things about both Long Barrel and Laser Targeter, so it’s really hard to get an accurate idea of what the two really do.

That being said, my main gripe with the scopes isn’t how many of them there are, but the fact you can’t couple them with the weapon attachments like Kinetic Bolts or Sound Dampener.

so whats the new update’s?? imo it looks like a lightrifle scope on human loadouts…any thoughts?

if im right, how will this scope set it apart from regular longshot ? cuz im not familiar as to the zoom capacity of the lightrifle scope

The Long Barrel extends your red reticule range, and I think the Laser Targeter tightens your bullet spread.

That’s what I’ve assumed as well, but sometimes it was a bit confusing for me. Long Barrel/Laser + Sentinel BR’s a good one. I prefer sticking Stabilization Jets on it if using the Sentinel DMR though, that recoil is harsh otherwise!

I have been looking for this answer for a long time

Doesn’t the stabiliser attachment also tighten your spread. This is the point, no one is exactly sure what does what, and some seem to do very similar things.

The Stablization Jets significantly reduce / eliminate weapon recoil. The recoil on the SMG is almost non-existant, and it’s a huge help when attacking someone at long range with a BR / DMR.

Second vid more interesting

The main problem is that I can’t find what I want to use in WZ.

343, please add a ‘favorites’ feature in game so that we only see the 10% or less of REQs we actually use.

Yeah, I want new tactical variants, not scopes, got enough of those.

Yep.

There are these new scopes coming out with Monitors Bounty… (The name escapes me)

I don’t think that full screen scopes work with the SMG. It feels weird with things like the COG scope. The AR also gets a bit weird.

I wouldn’t mind the new scopes if I could use all of the attachments with them. What 343i should have done is allow you to equip a scope and one of the attachments for a weapon to use in Warzone. I’d love to use the hybrid, morphed or COG scopes, but they don’t support any attachments. Meanwhile the new sound dampener and knight blade attachments don’t support any of the different scopes, just the default scopes for the guns. The last time a new scope was added that supported all the attachments that were released at the time was the classic scope in December.

Projection sight is the default for the Assault Rifle.

Laser Targeter increases bullet magnetism and reduces spread, from my experience.

All of these sights clog up the REQ system and make it take longer than it should to select the weapon you want. They need to find a new way to implement these new sights in a way that doesn’t keep you waiting at the REQ screen or just scrap them entirely.
