It’s really stupid when I’m searching by myself, and match a party of four that are all communicating, it’s not fair when I have team mates without mics in and we get completey destroyed. It should be like Halo 3 where parties of 3 or 4 only match other parties of 3 and 4 in ranked playlists.
I don’t see how anyone could disagree with this… 343 please implement this into H5, AND in MCC.
I agree that matching a group of friends with a lone wolf like me usually ends up in me getting destroyed, but separating parties would completely segregate the community and highly reduce the chanced of finding a game.
or you could plug in that mic that came w your xbox… and meet some like-minded people who you can play with as well… every game is pretty much won by map control/teamwork… you can’t really have one without the other, IMHO…
There should be a mercenary playlist where solo players can queue up to play other soloists. I’m pretty sure it was in another Halo, I don’t remember. Maybe that was COD. Regardless, it should be a playlist so we can avoid playing stacked teams with a bunch of random dudes who are holding their controllers upside down.

Just because I plug mine in, doesn’t mean that people I matched up with are going too. It’s been that way since Halo: Reach. It NEEDS to stop, point blank period.

That was COD. But yes I agree. It’s completely unfair, and annoying, especially when those people holding their controllers upside down end up just quitting out. I remember in Halo: Reach sometimes when people would see a team of four on the other team, they’d just dashboard. Like wtf.
343 PLEASE READ THIS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!
I would have to agree with this, im fine with fighting parties, but it would be a nice addition
I can’t even take a party, it doesn’t make sense. Why won’t it work for me?
So you’d rather sit at the “looking for players” screen for 10 mins?.. because thats what’ll happen if they make it that way. Be happy the matchmaking isnt broke like mcc

You’re fine with fighting parties until you get matched with a bunch of noobs on your team and you get absolutely destroyed, or they get wrecked, then they quit out on you, and then you end up sitting there having to play 1v4.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, really? 10 MINUTES? That’s completely ridiculous, and extreme. In Halo 3’s population prime, you found games fast. And that’s how Halo 3 was, it didn’t match parties to people searching by themselves, unless you were playing social playlists. So your agument is invalid.

It worked in Halo 3 without long match making times, so I really don’t think this is the case at all.

I don’t play with my mic in without people on my friends list for one simple reason. I don’t want to be stalked on Xbox Live afterwords. People get so blown away that I’m another person with a mic that I get flooded with friend requests, and people who think because I’m talking to them in the game that we can be best friends.
I don’t want to talk to you after that game.
I don’t want to be your Live friend.
I want you to call out enemies for the match, leave me alone, and never talk to me again.
bump. needs to be changed. Don’t know how 343i hasn’t figured this out yet they’ve had years of us saying to do it
Yea I totally agree with OP. Solo searchers should most always be matched with other solo searchers, while parties match with other parties and only pulling from the solo population to balance teams.
I noticed this idea is becoming more and more popular this past few years, so I hope they implement it.
Agreed one million percent!
This thread deserves to be bumped. The games been out for months. It’s not like population is a dire need right now. It’s not like random teammates use a mic anyway. Sick of getting destroyed by full parties.
A better solution to all this would be to restrict fire team/party sizes in certain playlists. Ranked is fair game for parties, it’s supposed to be competitive. But social playlists could have a restriction of half the team size, so you could play with a friend, but that’s it, you want to play with 3 friends? Go to ranked.
a few seconds more to search and everyone would be happy.
