Please stop calling for nerfs...

I don’t think any thing needs nerfing right now. I haven’t run into any thing yet that feels over powered. I’m gonna get railed for this opinion but I think people haven’t thought about how to stop things like Forge hog and Serina. So let’s talk about better strategy instead of changing the game to suit your needs.

We are crying for nerfs because the Forgehog and Serina are both very broken.

Why the forge hog? Simple answer: his Y ability instantly kills core infantry squads, cripples scouts, and can hit up to 40 pop. And is on a 20 second cooldown. That’s broken, no way around it, especially on T1. There is no way to prevent this from happening, no special way to fight the unit, no glaring weakness it has. That is broken.

As for serina, she has an exploit that allows her to freeze base production very early in the game, and she also has insane map control and DPS potential given her abilities.

Those two issues are absolutely glaring and need to be addressed.

It always happens after a patch.

The devs know this. I’m sure that they know it whenever they change anything.
I doubt that they will act irrationally and wreck any leaders.

That said, count me in the league of believeing that some things need to be fixed.

I think the best thing to hope for is that 343 recognizes these balances issues and manages them. To some extent, players need to adjust to all new leaders and strategies, but the game loses value when there is a strategy that works more often than it should.

Look I’m all for a balanced game (I mean duh) but I get frustrated with the knee jerk reaction that comes in the first days and weeks. I wish people would approach the problem inwards first. Fact is a new leader has been released and your going to have to adjust. If you didn’t have to adjust there would be no point in realising a new leader because nothing would have changed. I want the community to approach things from a “how can I change my strategy to combat this new problem” stand point instead “343 and CA are terrible, your game is terrible, fix it now” point. It’s not productive and instead if gritting it out and coming up with new ways to fight, people are going “wait for them fix this obviously broken game” which means our already small community gets smaller. So please stop, think, and adjust before you rage about how bad you are at this game.

I just Y’d 5 Locusts with Forgehog. The guy self destruct all his bases immediately.

I’d say please nerf this crap, because:
#1 I feel dirty. But dirty is better than frustrated.
#2 Playing UNSC against UNSC sucks.
#3 Playing against Banished as UNSC sucks.

Also I’d take Rolling Economy over Fortifications any day.

I’m ok with Forge keeping his Anvil round 300% damage increase. If they gave Cutter raid and ODST BACK.
gave Jerome back his powerful Mantis but keep the long cooldown.
decimus leader was nerfed on the hammer pull and wasn’t necessary
Colony seems fine
Serena exploit on economy needs to be fixed
Atriox they have nerfed so many time is crazy. From eradication to unbreakable and bulwark to now fortifications. And I believe the Hero was nerfed.
shipmaster displacement was nerfed added a very long cooldown.
Anders Sentinels were nerfed. They need to stay nerfed but I’d like to see a cost adjustment from 280 supply to 250 kodiaks were nerfed as well.
KINSANO hogs were nerfed. And her leader. And inferno.
So I’m ok with Forge having his Hog improved but some other leaders could compete better if they were a clone of their former self.

I’ve been playing rts games since 2003 and serina is broken she is far too good at pushing while stopping pushes early game through her first and second leader power.(btw her second leader power gives way to many bonus’ it gives 3 unit upgrades and map control with a defensive buff for one point at teir 2

Forgehog might be the most broken thing on the game’s history, even Kinsano’s JR could be fought back.

Serina’s exploit has to be adressed and Cryotech Advances should be split on two, out of that I think it’s fine, but the game is pretty broken when more than one Serina is on the field, even on Reddit they’re saying so, I think it’s time to get rid off dupes once and for all.

I have been using forge, plenty of players have no problems taking out the hog. If your not ready it’s on you. Lots of counters, it is strong against infantry & it should be. Enough whining also Serena is weak…

So it’s not that the leaders or units are op it’s that people apparently are bad?

Forgehog is terrible.
Complaints about Serina are completely unfounded however.
Rushing IN GENERAL is OVERPOWERED right now. his isn’t Starcraft where you can just build buildings in front of an entrance to your basing area!

actually forghog is great and serina does feel overpowered because of all the freezing

wow when forge finally got the buff he needed he already needs to be nerfed what a shame

Considering all the changes they made i actually consider it pretty good that Forgehog and Serina are the only real changes anyone is asking for on a strong consensus. The Forgehog Anvil round buff was so extreme that many of us called foul before we even saw it in action. As for Serina she has a broken exploit its not just the freezing, if you havent run into it yet them great but im sure its on the developers radar. That might change once the Anvil round is done sucking all the oxygen out of the forums but for now its not that bad.

what a great post you brought up the issues and told us why their broken their needs to be more posts like this not just some one saying “OMFG ITS SO BROKEN NERF” :+1:
