There are so many of them that are just awful to play and a good amount of matches end up with the majority of players leaving because they don’t like the game mode.

Yup. Said it before and I’ll say it again; playlists need much better curation. I’m happy to handle it myself.
Examples of what I’d do:

Swatnums heavily reduced or removed from the SWAT playlist entirely.

Recon SWAT reduced.

Invasion put in social BTB.
-
Wonky/vulnerable respawn points on many maps re-placed.

Infection suicide exploit fixed.

Infection objects like Flood Mass chunks need to be added to Forge so Infection maps can be Floodified.
-
Official and fanmade maps/gametypes should be cycled in.

In general every playlist could use a refresh. I don’t recall the last time 343 took time to tune the playlist offerings, but it’s probably been over a year.

Honestly map/gamemode voting would also be a great way to solve this issue and also give 343 data on what game modes players don’t like.
