Title is pretty self explanatory, but I find it really annoying to play with stalkers and sidekicks every game and never even get BR’s in tac slayer anymore.

I agree we literally dont even search the playlist anymore and swat has always been our favourite…
Now were down to just ranked for only playlist with br start and crossplay option
343 just has no clue what they need to do

But I’d argue the optimal Tactical Slayer playlist is mostly BR with variants sprinkled in. And that there is opportunity for more creative variation to the swat formula. (Thinking like a breakout-similar one-flag elimination or attrition sorta thing, or some other kind of minimally intrusive objectives.)

Perhaps a radical proposal, but how about (just like with oddball) making it a “best of x” type playlist?
A Tactical Slayer that is a best of 5 round, with the team who wins 3 rounds wins (so after 3 wins it’s over)
- round 1: BR
- round 2: Mangler
- round 3: Commando
- round 4: Sidekick
- round 5: Stalker Riffle
Every round needs 15 kills to win (so a win in 3 rounds is 45 total, in 4 round minimum 60 and a win in 5 is minimum of 75).

Something like 75%-80% BR and 20%-25% other would be good. It would also be on par with the Swat playlist in MCC.
Not a bad idea for a game mode. I wish we could make this is customs.

Absolutely needs to happen. Tact slayer should be classic BRs only, and a seperate Tact grab bag playlist has all of the other modes aswell.

I think a good middle ground here is to actually make them separate playlists. Return SWAT as its own playlist and have Tactical Slayer the multi version playlist with all the different variations of the shieldless gametype. At least it would keep the SWAT everyone knew about in years prior separate from the more modern version.

I really loved tactical slayer when it was br only. This is pretty much the only gametype I currently enjoy. Mixing it up with other weapons has ruined the game for me. Seriously, it’s not even fun anymore. Give me back my br only. Make a separate gametype with the option to mix it up if people like the other weapons. Leave my favorite alone. If Microsoft is even listening to this or whoever implements the gametypes, there is a special place next to Satan waiting for you if you don’t fix this.

I don’t mind BR, Sidekick or Stalker. It’s very reminiscent of MCC’s SWAT playlist.
A veto system in a pre-game lobby would resolve this issue, and would provide 343i with valuable data rather than just blindly dumping gametypes in to playlists.

BR is the worst weapon for swat in Infinite.
I actually submitted a support ticket about this a few days ago and they responded with this:

Having just played the SWAT playlist, it’s awful. Bring back BR only, or add a BR only/Original SWAT playlist and have a random one for the people who actually want it. I played for around two hours and got BR Maybe 3 times.

I can’t stand sidekick swat but the others aren’t bad
The commando’s SUCK. They way that thing aims and then jumps around is AWEFUL!! I know some say to “tap it” but its just horrible. The sidekicks are weak, the stalker is more like a sniper and what is that mangler thing? THEY DON’T BELONG HERE. If 343 wants to force this crap then throw a variant in once every 10 games. WHY are they not listening to us??
