Please remove two flag CTF in quick play

At least in 4v4 in quick play please just remove this game type. It just doesn’t work. Without people to speaking to each other it’s just a slow drag. Most matches end after time has expired. It really slows down your ability to play matches. It’s more of an advanced game type for something like ranked than for quick play.

Single flag CTF is great. There’s a clear objective for teammates to do. The time limit gives urgency. There’s clear phases. It’s great even when you’re on a bad team.

Bit torn on this one, I think it’s good to have so people can learn to play it. I do think CTF is a very hard gametype for people to get right. The amount of games you see where players are outslaying the enemy but can’t convert that to a meaningful cap is quite high.

Eh, I play with friends mostly and it’s fun. As long as they have playlists when the game actually releases it’ll be fine. Just remember this is a beta; the servers aren’t fully active and going, and they don;t have everything set up yet.

Umm… No the servers are fully up and running. This is an early release called a beta in case there’s bugs. There’s nothing stopping people from jumping in and playing the game.

I honestly like 2 Flag. I mean, yes, if you are searching solo you run the risk of getting teammates with a lower IQ than the temperature in the Arctic Circle, but that doesn’t mean it should be removed.

Oddball with a bad team isn’t as bad because even brain dead players can figure out how to play it at a basic level. Matches end fast if you’re in a bad team in oddball, you don’t want to stab your eyes out of boredom while both teams can’t figure out how to play.

I disagree, personally. Having objective games that require more than just “kill the enemy” is important not just for variety in gameplay but also because players should learn to PTFO. The people that “only” want to play Slayer is depressing.

No please remove one flag CTF. It is the worst mode. Offense/Defense modes are horrible. Two flag is much better. My opinion is just as valid as yours.

I have a better idea: Remove quick play and allow us to choose what we want to play like in H3 and Reach. If I want CTF I select it, same goes for Slayer, Oddball, and so on. The current system honestly sucks and feels very limited. I honestly feel like 343i refuses to realize that features and content are just as important as gameplay.

All the game types should be split into separate playlists so that people can actually choose what they want to play.

That being said, people not playing the objective has been a problem in every Halo. If you don’t want to play with people who aren’t skilled and don’t talk, then form a team of friends or join a clan or something. If you play solo, you’re going to be matched with bad players sometimes. That’s just how it is, it’s not a problem with the game mode.

Yeah objective game modes was always an issue, but from what i’ve experinced its even worse in Infinite becuase ppl cannot queue up for Slayer. I remember back during H3 and Reach I would use slayer to warm up for other game modes… And back when we had player counts, Slayer had the highest number most of the time.

It’s also worse because of the poor challenge system 343i implemented. For instance the other day I had a challenge to return my team’s flag 3 times. If you’re playing your best at CTF, the other team should theoretically never touch your flag. But if I want to progress the battle pass and get a new armor or such, I have to intentionally let the other team grab our flag so I can potentially kill them and return it for the points. Hopefully the new challenges they’re implementing will lessen that a bit, but separating the playlists would also definitely help a lot.

Man, too many games I’ve experinced ppl throwing the game. Im not even mad at them because there is no other way to progress. Really makes me think that 343 didnt play test their own system.

To quote The Jungle Book, and that dates back to even Halo 2-3 Bungiedotnet days, “Hey! Now don’t start that again!”

I would like to disagree with you for my own preference. Quick play is a good way to practice and the variety makes it better. But I do understand what you mean.

Maybe lessen the weight in which the game type pops up.

Or maybe put in the individual playlists along with the quickplay and let people choose what they want to play.
