Please remove the ELO derank for "quitting" in ranked playlist until you can fix the ranked crashing

I have 50 hours into this game. Diamond 6 in Open queue and Diamond 4 in solo que. Would have been Onyx over a week ago if it weren’t for the fact that every 5 games (sometimes less) my game crashes and I lose literally 1/3 of my level. An hour of playing/ 3+ wins wiped because the game crashes.

Please remove the ELO derank for “quitting” until the game doesn’t constantly crash. At this point I’m so frustrated that I think I’m just going to stop playing until some kind of fix is implemented, which sucks because I’m obsessed with this game and think it’s the best Halo game since Halo 3 IMO.

What are you playing on?

I’ve had zero crashes so wondering if it’s because they tried to push the game on old hardware. My friend has a launch Xbox One and says it runs very poorly.

I tried playing MCC flight for season 8 on my original launch Xbox one and it was a tough pill to swallow.

Playing on PC. Im sure its some issue unique to some PC component I have (its not underpowered, its 5800x and 6900xt) but plenty of my friends are having similar issues and theres hundreds of similar complaints on Twitter.

Yeah, i also have problems with crashes on ranked. It’s also very random, you can go days without a crash just to get many on the next day. Today i had the worst day so far, with 4 out of the 6 ranked matches crashed. It’s ridiculous.

edit: i’m not gonna play anymore ranked matches today obviously. Played 3 social matches since then, 0 crashes, so it’s definitely something to do with the ranked playlists

You want consequence-less ranked quitting? Are you insane?

People quit out of ranked games far too often as it is, and when that happens it screws over their entire team and all but ensures a loss.

If you are getting crashes often enough to affect your rank then address the crashes or don’t play ranked.

Yeah i can go all day with no QP crashes but I crash out of every ranked game.

People arent quitting out of ranked they are crashing. Go on Twitter there hundreds if not thousands of complaints about it. And I agree. 343 should fix the ranked crashes ASAP. Until then they should remove or at least reduce the penalty. Ideally add a rejoin in progress but I suspect it will take months to implement.

Crashes would be partially tolerable if players had the ability to rejoin in progress matches like they do in literally every other competitive title on the market today.

I’m sorry about your loss. Let’s hope this serious topic doesn’t get buried under a wave of carbon copy NPC posts talking about progression and cosmetics.

I can’t imagine it would considering the framework already exists in Quick Play and BTB.
