I’ll keep it brief, i’m sure everybody here has had a boss stolen in Warzone because of a lucky shot from an enemy miles away, and before you start with “urr durr control the enemy team durr” i just don’t want to hear it because it’s impossible to control an entire team of 12 people while taking down the boss without at least a team of 8, anyways, my point is that since 343 is not going to change the current boss system, at least remove the health bar, that would randomize who takes the boss even more and make the match more “interesting” since 343 seems to want that, seriously it is infuriating, but only when playing alone, when i play with my team we just spawn camp the other team and that’s so much more fun, but i know not everybody has a team and has to endure things like boss stealing.
343 has already expressed that the boss situation is working as intended. Kill stealing to them is completely viable and to avoid it, at least have some people on your team clearing the area.
Plus, there’s zero reason to believe that removing the health bar would stop boss takedown stealing. I’m still going to shoot it till it dies and hope I get the kill for my team.
“urr durr control the enemy team durr”
I like the health bar, I use it as an indicator as to whether or not I have time to spawn a weapon.

I know 343’s opinion on the matter, and i’m not asking to stop the boss stealing, what im saying is that if they are going to steal it, they would have to be constantly shooting it instead of camping, it would make the encounters between the 2 teams and the boss even crazier, and if they get to steal the boss, at least both teams tried to take it.
I don’t mind the health bar, what they do need to get under control is recognizing if you helped to kill the boss.
-If you stop to reload and a boss dies, you get no commendation.
-If you die a second before a boss dies, you get no commendation.
-If you’re too far away, you get no commendation.
Maybe it’s just me but it seems crazy random on giving out commendations. I think they need to fix this issue rather than mess around with life bars. I don’t mind the way that the system is working at the moment. If it’s within my sight, I’m going to shoot it regardless if the other team is surrounding it.

I think he believes that by eliminating the health bar, people wont notice kill stealing. It will just happen and since no one can predict when the boss will die (yes i know you can but not many people will do that kind of math) they will view it as oh we lost it. Basically the health bar can be viewed as a security camera, without it there crime(kill stealing) will happen but no one will notice it, compared to when the camera (health bar) is present crime (kill stealing) becomes more apparent.

They give the commendation to like 4 people total, i agree with you, if you did significant damage to the boss, you should get the medal, i assasinated the warden earlier and even though my team killed it, it didn’t get the medal, that is BS

That is somewhat what i mean, you got the right idea with people not predicting when the boss will die, and if they take it by luck, then so be it, but they should keep trying to take it, not just wait for it to be almost dead, this serves as an encouragement to engage the boss and the other players as well-

“if they take it by luck”? That is the same as it is today. You win some, you lose some.

Luck by continuosly engaging the boss, with no knowledge of when it’s going to die, as opposed to camping with a laser and killing it when it has 10% left, there’s a difference.
It’s frustrating either way. If they remove the bar the boss WILL die between reloads. Count on it haha. With the bar I am not ashamed to say I wait until the last 20% to engage, and it’s just as frustrating to be shooting a full auto something, the boss die mid-clip, and you get nothing.
so you think it’d be better if we just shoot at warden until he randomly dies suddenly? should health bars be removed for all bosses? just legendary bosses? only warden?
your idea doesnt seem to be anything more than a complaint that people “steal” your warden kill. get over it, its obviously just part of the game. wait until he’s almost dead and the n shoot him, beat them at their own game.
removing the health bar would not stop people from trying to steal the kill by shooting him when he’s almost dead. there are visual cues that tell you when warden is hurt, so people wouldn’t have any problem still just picking him off from a distance.
I like the idea of removing the health bar, it’ll make both teams really focus on the boss.

how? what are you implying? that teams aren’t focused on the boss? instead they are only focused on their health bar?
that doesnt make any sense. the health bar is part of the boss, and removing it wouldn’t do much if anything. you can tell when warden is getting weak based on the animations he goes through. health bar is used for every boss in warzone, they are not going to change it. you can keep talking about how you like the idea if you want, however i see very little reason posted here to persuade anyone that it is a worthwhile idea.
I have seen way too many teams ignore the boss until their health is down to the last 25%, then everyone focuses on them. The result is one or two players doing the bulk of the work (and getting killed repeatedly) to bring the boss down only to have the end of the game rely on a random shot. (This particularly annoys me because I used to be that guy fighting the boss alone, until I switched to Warzone Assault.)

“wait until he’s almost dead and the n shoot him, beat them at their own game.”
And when everybody waits til hes almost dead. the boss will never die. simple as that.
“there are visual cues that tell you when warden is hurt, so people wouldn’t have any problem still just picking him off from a distance.”
only a few bosses have it. its not dependent on how much health they have left. the Warden for example sends out pulse waves however you can come into a fight late and not know at all how close to death he is if the health bar isnt there. the only Boss that actually has a clear visual indicator of when it is about to die is the banshee’s and the wraith’s. since they start breaking parts off more and more and are smoking and on fire. when they are bout to die.
you can kill a knight without shooting off its shoulder pieces or face plates. the Phaeton bosses are not at all easy to identify how much Health is left.
Visual cues are all we need, you still need to look at them to see how they’re doing.

Something quite opposite happened to me on Noctus. The Ghost Jockey spawned in, and I died shortly after. The Ghost Jockey while the screen in panning around my dead body, and I get the Boss Takedown medal. Without firing a single shot at him.
