please remove team killing from btb slayerpro

Please 343 for the love of god remove team killing from slayer pro. It is ruining btb when team mates shoot you the entire game.

It’s part of the game, and has been part of every halo.i think it’s nice that they have game types where it isn’t on but i really do think the game is better with it on

At least its harder to betray team mates these days. Use to be so easy to kill your team mates either accidently or on purpose.

Yeah greifers are annoying, but at least its better than say you and an enemy duelling to the death, when another enemy fires rockets at you both, and you die, but both of them live…

If your going to allow this - then bring back the User Ban Hammer. If someone kills me for my weapons - I should be allowed to kick them out of the game.

Since switching back to Reach from H4 (no lag in Reach compared to the lag fest that is multiplayer in H4), I have only run into this a couple of times and I was given the option of kicking them from the game. Aholes get punted.

I agree, the betrayls should stay, but if they do you should be able to kick

Friendly-fire should just be removed from War Games (except for certain game-types, like Grifball).

The community just can’t be trusted with the ability to kill teammates. It causes more harm than good.

Agreed. It’s used for griefing 99% of the time.

I dunno, Classic Halo had it and since people hold it on such a high pedestal, I think we should keep it

I’m fine with friendly fire in the game. It’s always been a part of the franchise and makes most people think twice about actions like firing Rockets into a mixed group of players.

Just because classic Halo is better than the new Halo doesn’t mean everything about it was good. The inclusion of betrayals has only ever been used for angry kids betraying for power weapons, betraying people for “stealing kills” and in the worst case which I’ve experienced: betraying a teammate just so he can’t get a perfection.

Betrayals need to go. They don’t enhance gameplay in any way.

it makes you think more tactically, do you want to throw a grenade into a group with team-mates and enemies and potentially let your team-mates die or try go join the fray, it adds more of a layer of strategy

While we’re at it, why don’t we have the guns shoot themselves and vehicles drive for you

I dont know which games you play but ANY game is frag fest with nades spamming all over the shop, all you need on Settler is several people with resupply on and its nuts. No one cares about blowing a team mate up, they want the kill. I’m for removing it as said it adds nothing to the game and is too easy to accidentally kill someone.

Then those people who mindlessly spam grenades get punished for betraying their teammate by losing a point, and if it was on purpose and the teammate isn’t forgiving they get kicked.

That pretty much sums up most arguments on these forums.

It’s not like Classic Halo was perfect. Sure, it’s better than Halo’s current state, but there was room for improvement.

> While we’re at it, why don’t we have the guns shoot themselves and vehicles drive for you

That’s a terrible analogy. Let’s stick to legitimate arguments.

Agreed. Having friendly-fire on is just dumb in my opinion. There’s no point to it. All it does is give immature players the ability to kill thier teammates for whatever reason they want.

Turning friendly fire off allows you to create suicide bomber teammates with the sticky detonator.

It allows you to fire an incineration cannon into the KOTH hill that magically selects enemies to kill leaving your team intact.

It allows you to throw grenades and fire weapons without any fear of repercussions.

Maybe the level of maturity of Halo is a valid complaint, but don’t blame the game for being an enabler. The only time I have trouble with griefers is when I give in to their trolling and either fire a few shots back at them or yell into my mic. Plus, once you win a few games and your trueskill goes up, you end up with players who play to win. IMO friendly fire is essential.

I remember when you could betray in every playlist…

Now you can shoot a rocket at an enemy who is fighting a teammate and your teammate walks away unscathed.

That’s completely fair (if you can’t tell, that is sarcasm).

So, to prevent this, Plasma Grenades and Sticky Detonator shouldn’t stick to teammates, that way, preventing this type of scenario.
