we never needed this in previous games and we definitely don’t need it now. it’s visually appalling and together with the spartan outlines and all the hud waypoints everywhere it takes you right out of the game world. halo has never had a problem with visual overload, let’s keep it that way.
I agree that the outlines are unnecessary. Thousands of Halo fans would appreciate 343 i. for including a simple toggle in the menu to make those outlines optional. A simple toggle option for:
- all vehicle, player & weapon outlines - hit marker sound effects - kill confirmed/assist sound effects & the - “shield recharge 100% complete” chirpwould be enormously appreciated by the community. For those who unfortunately suffer from visual and/or hearing impairments, all of those aforementioned features can create visual and/or audio overload.

i agree also, outline in vehicles is not necessary.
Agreed I don’t like the outlines at all. Toggle switch so we can choose is a simple fix to please the ones that don’t and also take care of the ones that need it as well as the few that just happen to want it.
After toggling on names, I’m not sure I even need the body outlines any more. Happy to reduce the noise all over the screen as much as I can.
Would like to be able to have my team set to service tags but enemy team to gamertags too.

Yes I agree, a simple toggle for body outlines would make an enormous amount of fans happy as well.
Agree. As someone with a disability, it ruins the immersion
100% on board with this. I don’t have any disability but I support those who do and these accessibility options would mean a lot to many users.
And even though I don’t have much of a problem with these things physically, I would still turn them off because reducing on-screen clutter is always a nice option to have.
