Please Remove Hydra From Breakout, well at least from altitude. That map just doesn’t seem to be able to handle the hydra’s locking ability since there are less walls and its easier to get hit by it. I am writing this post because my friends and I have gotten quite annoyed that breakout, what appears to be Halo’s competitive mode has an auto-lock weapon which I don’t believe should fit it. It should be about how good a player is at aiming and not who can hide and lock on. There were occasions where we outplayed the person using the Hydra which was pretty rewarding but to my friends and I, it can get very annoying. The problem is, in breakout, your shields are off so damage given by the weapon is really substantial. So I personally believe that the Hydra should not appear in the breakout mode. I would like to hear your opinions on the matter.
Hydra is literally a trash wep. If you get kills with it, they’re bad. If you get killed, then learn to strafe. That being said, its usually the first wep I jump on so I can hold it in case some sneaky sneaker tries to get me fr behind.

Breakout isn’t fun when your team mate brings the flag to YOUR OWN BASE! Some guy ruined the round because he was a noon. With co ordination it would be fun but all my friends play Fifa on PS4 and that’s it. Gaming has failed, literally.

At first I didnt have much interest in Breakout, but it’s become one of my favorite playlists; second to SWAT.
As far as the Hydra goes… I actually like that it’s there. Personally, I find it incredibly easy to not fall victim to whomever is wielding it. Perhaps this game has something to do with evasion, as well as how well a player can aim.

The only problem I have is that it locks on and can go around corners.
It does, but it’s also just a midrange weapon. A little distance makes it useless, and it’s poor up close. Personally, I like what it adds to the game.
I can can see what you’re saying though. Would you replace it with a different power weapon? Which one?
Its thare to fight over if you dont like it get it first plus I hydras an ambush weapon if you see them first or at the same time and lose, then you need to work on dodging.

Breakout is a great time and very competitive with good team communication.
Hydra is very annoying in this game type, if you aren’t paying attention and they get a few locking shots it’s just too late to react even with thrusters. Personally feel a locking explosive weapon in a game type like breakout is 100% anti-fun. If they were replaced by shotguns or just removed completely it would be a much better experience.

Camp with it? What a waste, it’s so much more fun to haunt the enemy team and assassinate the players who are by themselves
