I think reloading is meant to be a penalty to your movement and sprinting while reloading makes it easy to get away from gunfights. I didn’t like the fact that I could reload my sniper mid sprint

I think not! Every fps game penalizes reloading with slow movement hence the point of reloading being something you need to be aware of., if you get away w reloading as u sprint ur not being penalized. Although I could see it ur way too., make the gameplay faster
Tbh the sprint boost isn’t too much so I feel like it’s fine, but I can see how it might be a bit unfair if you can run away while reloading. I think in other fps games the sprinting is a lot faster so it would make more sense to penalize reloading while sprinting, but in the preview it didn’t seem like too much of an issue to me
I think it’s fine along with the sprint speed. Neither are game or map breaking but still useful.
I don’t mind that much. It makes the gameplay more aggressive.

Exactly it’s like halo 3 110% speed while sprint. Which is why reloading while sprinting doesmake sense.
I don’t know. The sprint in Infinite seems so nerfed that I think I am ok just letting it slide. And I have been very vocal for my hate of sprint in prior releases.
Everything about Infinite is great so far including reloading while in sprint. A few weapons need nerfed but other than that it’s solid. Also slide and and clamber are great too.

Battlefield has allowed you to reload and sprint for a while now if my memory serves and CoD has tied it to perks in the past.
Sprint was already clunky and slow in prior Halos and really broke up the gameplay. I already like how much less intrusive it is in infinite. The delta between base and sprint low, you can do other things while sprinting rather than doing everything else and then starting to sprint.
Eh, I’m ok to leave it, Sprint has been balanced out and the ability to reload while sprinting is part of that balance…

The Sprint is hardly faster than the walk, reloading is so important that many players would just choose not to sprint due to the inconvenience and the relatively low reward in speed.
I like that I can reload and regain shield while sprinting.
Man, I didn’t even realize you could sprint & reload. Either I’ve trained myself to reload before or after sprinting or I was just oblivious

Just take the convenience, you’ll live man.
It’s literally a non-issue man, you’d still die if someone was trying to actually kill you but you played against bots for 3 days whose only strengths where melee, needler and grenades.
Trust me no one worth their salt is going to let you run off and reload, they’re just going to shoot you.
I’m loving sprint in Infinite. There are enough downsides to it that being able to reload and rejoin a fight will be a good thing.
I think it would be better if sprint reload caused you to drop rounds still in the mag.
It makes doing so with one rocket in the tube of the spnkr for example a big agency moment. If you are confident in your shot you won’t waste the round if you aren’t you might if you think having 2 rockets primed is worth losing a round.

You know if it was any other sprint Halo I would totally agree with you, but however the sprinting in this game is so slow it might as well not even be in the game, so because of this I dont actually mind being able to reload guns while sprinting and also regen shields. If they make the sprint speed any faster however I totally agree it should cancel sprint and also you shouldnt be able to regen shields.
Did you notice the sprint to shooting animation is also WAY faster. Then shields also recharge while sprinting.
Curious why you honed in on 1 of the 3 vs all “sprint penalties” from H5?
