Hey everyone, today September 10th 2013 my good friend Jacob ended his life. He was a really great guy as well as an active Halo player. The point of this is, that I was hoping that with your help we could reach out to 343 and ask them to make a marine named after my dear friend. Private Jacob Meadows is all I want to see when I buy Halo 5 and I sure it would have made him very happy. So I ask you wonderful people both in the halo community and at 343, to not let his name be forgotten. Thanks for your time!

My condolences. The beautiful thing about the internet is that you’ll always find people willing to sympathize with you, and I’m sure you’ll be able to count on this community.
Don’t hate me for saying it, but I’m not too sure that this request is likely to be met with approval, simply because as far as 343 is concerned, you might not be genuine.
If you are for real (and I have no reason to think otherwise), then I would love to see your friends name in Halo 5. Jacob Meadows doesn’t sound bad at all.
i personally think that many fans of Halo should get their faces in the game or alteast a community shoutout like Bungie did in Reach. If 343i could at least get one normal Halo gamer into the game like anAI face or even their nsme that would be awesome.
I think it would be a great idea. Like others have said Jacob Meadows does have a nice ring to it. It can’t be that hard at all to get your friend’s name into the game.

Very sorry for your loss and I really hope if 343 industries is listening to this that if they could fulfil just a small request and make this come true. He sounds like a great guy must have been a great Halo player. Just never forget him and strive for this goal you have I think the idea you have of having him in Halo 5 is an amazing idea. I really hope this works out you should post this on all mass media so all the Halo bothers and sisters can hear you out and do something about it and definitely some one from 343 industries will listen. Please inform us if anything happens because this will be a great sending off and as you said your friend will really like this. For a fellow fallen Halo brother.

@OP: Sorry for your loss. It seems you have the community’s support, and rightfully so. If we can keep this thread alive just a while longer, I’m sure 343i will see it and it would likely be very simple for them to just name a marine, especially since it’s for a good cause.
