Dear 343,
If the recent leaked information is true myself and a number of long term halo players and fans are incredibly disappointed in where Halo is going. The game sounds like call of duty with shields, it is ruining what makes Halo. Please delay the release of the game and fix it to take the best from Halo 2 and Halo 3. Reach is terrible, and Halo 4 is sounding worse. I have played every Halo game religiously, but if this recent leak is true I can say that I am not going to buy Halo 4. It sounds awful. I was excited when you said that you were going to bring the Halo experience back, judging by what I have heard that is not true. The game-play does not need to be changed! Take halo 2/3 and increase the graphics, new campaign, and all new maps and it would be the most intelligent decision you could do. Completely rethink the game, not follow what Bungie screwed up in Reach. I am severely disappointed and will be even more disappointed if this Call of Halo game comes out. Thank you for your time.
They don’t have to delay it to change those things. lol
They might need to by the sound of it. Technically they really only have about 3 months to finalize it so that they can get the required documents and such before the holiday season.
Reach is great (maybe not the Campaign, but the MP is) Halo 2 and 3 are also awesome. It takes a true Halo fan to enjoy Reach, with all of its changes from Halo 3.
I hope 343i keeps going in the same direction that they already are. I haven’t heard anything I dislike so far.

I don’t see why everyone is complaining about the “leaked” information about Halo 4 and the direction that 343i is taking the Halo Universe. The Halo games have slowly been losing its fan-base to other games like Call of Duty, due to the fast paced game-play, and gun customization. 343i is now trying to spread Halo past its dedicated fan-base to a broader audience. The fact they are tie together multiplayer and campaign is very interesting along side the Spartan Ops. The idea of releasing game content every week for a while is no doubt going to bring people back to the game.
I love the idea of loadouts, it seems like a winning formula. It will change gameplay from camping the power weapons to actually attempting to play the game. It adds a whole new level of customization and allows the player to feel at home. It is a good idea and is alright to have in Halo like having Sprint as a default ability. It has been in other competing games; yet that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be in Halo. Custom loadout are a plus, not only will it feel more persnal, but will expand on the idea that Halo is a sandbox. Halo needs to be refreshed in my opinion and that is what 343i is doing with Halo 4. Custom Loadouts are a great addition due to the fact that you can make the game yours.
No respawn times will bring you right into the action instead of waiting for the time to tick down or bashing down a certain button. Joining games hasn’t just been in Call of Duty, and it is about time that Halo finally realized that people are sick of waiting for their friends games to end just so they can get in a match with them.
People tend to think that the game should be like Halo 2 or 3 and think if they don’t make it to that formula it won’t be good, change isn’t always bad.
Speak for yourself, I’m loving it. Spartan Ops sounds amazing.
Also, anybody notice the forums changing? A few hours ago, pretty much every post was blind hate, and all you had to do was write something along the lines of “343 have killed Halo” to get a wall of thanks. Now there’s far more actual discussion.
I’d rather wait 3 more years to get another solid Halo than to get this garbage in a few months.
The direction it is going is terrible, Halo used to emphasize teamwork and skill, it is turning into just an AVERAGE shooter, not the BEST shooter that it once was. It was never slow paced just took skill and precision to win games, not reflexes and powerups or perks. Customization and all of that is cool, armor abilities are dumb and should be removed, as well as the sprint ability. I think that the campaign will be fine I am speaking in terms of multiplayer. I completely disagree that it will bring people back into the game, the people who have followed Halo from the start such as myself are so disappointed in the direction it is going, it does not look, sound or feel like Halo anymore. They can have loadouts and what not, but then they should supply real players with playlists that emphasize the qualities of what Halo should be, and once was. Join in progress is a fail as well, one of the reasons that I never enjoyed Call of Duty. The game SHOULD be like Halo 2 or 3 then the fan base would be huge like it once was during those games, the only reason the Halo fan base is disappearing is we haven’t seen a REAL HALO GAME in YEARS!!!

Everyone calm down, many other games changed and still felt like the classic version. For example Serious Sam 3 :BFE added sprinting and iron sights to the game but it still was an awesome as TFE AND TSE!
I know Elites will be in multiplayer. How’s this you may ask. Why are they hunched over? Why? 343 should have made them strong and tall like in Halo Reach and Halo CE but they didn’t. They hunched over to once again hit the multiplayer hitbox; I mean grain of salt people should be taken with all leaks no matter how many times things are talked about. Now I don’t think any of this is real, now whys that? Well 343 guys can’t comment on rumors which is what this leak is yet one employee said Spartan Op’s will be in the game? Well if he did that 343 would be sued from GI. Why didn’t the guy scan the whole article, why did he white stuff out. Now all of these things may be in Halo 4 but not even close to the way that this leak is talking about them, so wait until tuesday folks!
I am expressing my opinion and a number of my friends. I am hoping that this was all a rumor and that none of it was true.

The Halo series is over people. Sad to say, but the Halo is now finished, all those memories and fun times you had in halo 2 and halo 3 are now just to rmember, bungie left us, in hands of a down syndrome company. Just click on the link I posted. 343 is just all about the money, bungie actually cared about us, they understood how important MLG was, so they didn’t change the game, they kept fun, with the best ranking system, than any other game. 343 just converted halo into CoD. Now all the halo pros, “50’s”, and now pist, because our competitive time is over. 343 ended halo. Thanks a lot! I wish I could come go back in time in 07-10 when halo was the -Yoink-. halo 3 changed me, I will take those memories to my grave. But hey, I will play halo 3 to the end. A playlist = many different gametypes.
I love it, seems cool, new and fresh. I have loved all the halo games but I don’t want a new H3 or Reach multiplayer, if I did I would just go back and play H3

You mentioned a classic “slayer” playlist. This entails Slayer, slayer BR’s, and possibly Slayer DMR’s. That’s it.
