Just don’t do it. Make it a drop like Overshield is.

I agree with this, active camo in Reach is worse than armor lock and jetpack combined. I sure hope they find some way to balance it, or at least make it less annoying.

Worse than jetpack? No, but it is definitely worse than Armour Lock. In fact, Armour Lock is the least game breaking AA. People simply couldn’t combat it because they have no patience.

People don’t feel good if they have to “earn” camo.

That’s essentially the reasoning.

Or because of the fact that it was -Yoinking!- INVINCIBILITY IN AN FPS. An AA should NOT prevent someone from killing someone and turn the tides on a fight, which it did 99% of the time.

Almost every time I’m on Sword Base I’ll see someone, I’ll take away their shield, they’ll put a few bullets into me, go into AL, and their teammates come around the corner and finish me off.

No amount of “Patience” can stop it on small maps.

Could you move while you were invincible? No.

Could you shoot while you were invincible? No.

Did you attract a lot of attention while invincible? Yes.

It is no more than a minor annoyance. A simple 5 second pause on a death that has already occurred.

Every AA bar hologram was used to prevent deaths and far more effectively than Armour Lock could ever manage. And if you’re getting double teamed because of Armour Lock, you should really look at your position in relation to your team mates…

Yes but they are still tuning the game. I hope they simply tune out Camo as an AA and make it a drop. It will make the experience so much better.

I wasn’t even counting hologram but if you want to get technical, yes, you’re correct on that.

Ofcourse it was gamebreaking you asspie it added 7 seconds to any kill time lolz. Above all else it is BORING.

I find it a total disgrace to the Halo franchise, that camo could be an AA and not a power-up AGAIN. Anything that effects base player traits(transparency,health,damage,ect) SHOULD BE A POWER-UP, ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO BALANCE A POWER-UP OFF SPAWN.

What good does camo do as an AA? All it does is promote camping and using cheap tactics like shotgun camo camping and camo sniping, it HURTS gameplay as an AA anyone with a decent understanding of the game understands this.

At least dont have Camo as an AA in non-Infinity gametypes, some people still want to play Halo without the gimmicks.

My favorite 2 AA’s are Sprint and AC. Now i’m going to be able to do both at the same time.

OMG the rage from my opponents coming through proximity chat is going to be truly epic.

It’s really not that big deal. Countering camo is not that hard and other AAs are really usefull too so I don’t think camo is going to be OP or annoying.

Its not about difficulty of countering. Its about the fact it makes the game less enjoyable dealing with Camo all game long. It saps the fun out of the game. You stop playing Halo and are just fighting with a game mechanic when it comes to Camo as an AA.

Exactly, in 4v4 on smaller maps it is BEYOND annoying when you’re teammates are constantly spamming camo and your’e radar is jammed 50 percent of the time. That is the kind of -Yoink-, that kills the fair and smooth flow of Halo games and makes them into 15/20 minute ability spam fests. There is NO WAY anyone is enjoying the camo camp fests and jetpack 4v4 battles of default Halo Reach, man it is just horrible.

At least have some mercy on those of us who actually like playing Halo, and dont water down all the good aspects of Halo with game-breaking crap like Camo and jetpack AA’s in non-Infinity gametypes.
