Please, please, please delay campaign.

If nothing else, please delay the launch of Campaign. Co-Op is an essential part of Halo, and simply needs to be in at launch.

Forge? Fine, that can wait, but Joseph even talked about Co-Op Legendary with his son, and then goes on to, in a way, take it away from the rest of the community.

I of course type this with no disrespect to the devs. It’s been a tough last few years, and I and many others are immensely appreciative of the work that 343 has put into the game so far. But it needs to be said that the community is in near-unanimous opinion on this, and taking a delay into consideration is the best way to show that 343 values our input.

When I was a young man, my sister went to the dentist one day. She loved lays chips and used to eat four bags of them every day. The dentist told her not to eat any for a few hours after she got home. When we got home she took the chips and put them in a high cupboard my tiny little legs could not reach. If she could not have any chips, I could not have any chips. My sister must have a lot of accounts because I’m seeing her all over the forums today.

Give me my Halo fritas bro.

It’s a no from me, dawg.

The community is being very vocal about delays and while I don’t think the Devs would even consider doing it based on some forum outcry, I think it’s important for people who don’t care to make it known also. It’s going to upset people with a clash of opinions but it is what it is. I’m sorry for those that are upset.

less then 30% of people completed 1 campaign mission in coop on normal in MCC (dont have the data for older games so MCC is the closest we have to accurate info). I 100% think coop is important to many, but I dont think we should portray the concepts of coop being 100% essential enough to delay the game when a vast majority dont play it coop.

I feel like people are underestimating the complexity of co-op with an open world on Xbox One consoles. The wait will be worth it, but don’t delay it. It’s only 3 months.

If they don’t delay campaign, everyone who wants to play the campaign the first time coop will have their experience likely ruined due to spoilers. At least delay the campaign to stop this.

Exactly. It’s a minor part of the community. I mean I’m sure most people will coop the campaign, I know I will, but not on their first playthrough. Most people I’ve seen, and all my friends want to do it solo our first time through.

I for one can agree whole heartedly. I completely understand the pressure the developers have been through and appreciate all the effort they have been putting in, but I have played co-op campaign with my friend first off on every Halo game. I have waited for this game for years now, and I’d wait as long as needed for 343 to make Halo Infinite the best it can be. It will just be disappointing if I have to play Halo campaign alone day one for the first time in decades.

The more I think, the more I also consider that waiting for Forge wouldn’t much be a bad thing. I see it as this;
Release Campaign Co-op on Day 1, then Drop Forge along with Season 2. Dropping Forge with a functional Customs Browser is also required.

343’s current roadmap could set the game up for a rough launch. In a way, Infinite also needs to focus on image as well, especially after Halo 5’s disastrous launch. This decision so far has seen nothing but ridicule. Doubling down on it would not be a good option.

The chips ain’t even ready bro

Or… you could just wait for 3 months, like you would have ANYWAY, and have some self control and not look at spoilers if co-op is the way you want to go into campaign first time. Don’t be selfish, anyone wanting a delay is saying “If I can’t have what I want, then nobody else should have it at all”

No, people who want a delay want the game to launch in a sufficently completed state
People want a complete game and experience from launch

What people don’t want is H5 where oddball was “free dlc” and we were supposed to be happy about it

I consider solo campaign and multiplayer sufficiently completed state. I use forge a lot and I am fine with a delay. Gives me time to really learn the game so I know how to make the maps more effectively.

most people are not going to play co-op first time through. Those that will can wait 3 months without looking at spoilers (LIKE THEY WANT TO DO ANYWAY. But the problem I have is they don’t want players like me to enjoy any part of the game before they can play co-op. That’s selfish.)

So its a double edged sword yeah?
Its equally as selfish of you to request they simply not play the game for three months and just stay off the internet and avoid spoilers until the part of the game that should have been there at launch is implemented three months later…

The difference is CHOICE. If the game is delayed, those of us that don’t mind waiting on co-op or forge are forced to not enjoy any aspect of the game until the tantrum throwing brats get what they want first. If the game is NOT delayed, then those who want to wait still can while those that don’t want to wait get to enjoy the game.

No, you’re just going to throw a trantrum if the game gets delayed again so it can actually be released in a finished state

No ones throwing tantrums here
