Please, play the objective regardless of your challenges

Never gets as much traction as topics that talk about the other less important things like progression, cosmetics, and monetization.

That’s a fact.

Ooof, dude thinks bugs and glitches that lead to audio blind spots, crashes, inability to join dropped matches, server issues are intentional to get people to drop money or play endlessly.

OOOF

Currently I play for my challenges first, objective second. That is unless of course I can progress my challenges by playing normally. This week I really struggled as I had to get 10 kills with both the Skewer and the Stalker Rifle. I just completed them tonight, and now I only have 5 hours to win 17 games. I’m not even available for the 5 hours that I need to be tomorrow. On top of that, I much prefer 4v4 Arena, but those weapons are useless in Arena and they don’t show up anyway.

I really wish this challenge system were thought out better. 343 dropped the ball on this one.

When a company selling a product undergoes a transparent effort to give the customer less value for the same price (or more) in a product equivalent to what they’ve sold before, criticizing their business practices, and the value proposition of that product, is warranted.

As consumers, people have a right to say “it’s not good enough”, and while the major corporation behind this release doesn’t owe us anything, nor do we owe them.

Of course, they never get as much traction, everyone loves a good ol -Yoink!- match, especially with so many people willing to die on the hill for a corporation,

English is hard for you isn’t it… or are you just disingenuous? You know what I was referring to, but just in case let me spell it out for you, the store/cosmetic/battlepass/challenges are horridly designed and are causing a large influx of the problems in the game (aka the point of this topic) maybe I read/watch more constructive conversations on this topic then you do. It can happen

you just highlight someones sentence and a quote option will appear for you

Thank you. (20 Charactere limit does not allow me to just say “Thank you”)

Nope

Nope again

Nope three times

If that’s what you were implying, it wasn’t clear.

However, the issues that those are causing are hardly worth tackling when there are actual game breaking issues being buried by players who think progression/dress up/monetization are actual issues in a Halo title.

This is my point, congrats you’re catching on.

I assume this incorrectly refers to me

You can bypass the 20 character limit by typing in in words in brackets

Cosmetics, progression and monetization are all severely faulty systems built into the core of the product. They affect how the player interacts with the game. They’re so integral to the design philosophy of the systems involved in playing the game, that the decision was made to cut out features as simple as playlist selection, and require players to play a handful of game types which are randomly selected. The challenge system as a consequence is more reliant on chance than it is on player skill or desire to play well or win matches. It affects how players interact with the game so fundamentally that it creates an incentive structure which rewards them more for quitting a match and trying to find a different gametype which they have a challenge for, or for trying to complete a challenge they have, than it does for being a team player or winning a match,

You can blame players for that all you want, but 343 intentionally created that incentive structure. They encouraged the behavior. So when you tell me that I’m a “whiner” for pointing that out, instead of recognizing that they made a mistake that should be changed, your protestations about the state of player behavior ring hollow.

… (20 characters are lame)

I’d favorite this, but the forum says i’m out of favorites to give (wow that’s kinda selfish or something…)

I dunno what this this my guy lol.

Bracketed text isn’t visible but counts as text

There is Bracket text, just not in the way you’d do it…

it doesn’t but im generalizing, I shouldn’t but it seemed fitting since we are just lumping groups together at this point

what a complete non response.
dude they made the game that way. you dont make a game by accident. it doesnt just happen. someone in the company made a conscious decision to not only not include it, but to make the system that controls its implementation in such a way that it prevents its addition. they talk like this game was meant to last the next 10 years. i cant imagine how if they have such nonexistent forethought that they design their systems in such a way that they impede to this level immediately… UNLESS it was deliberate so they could use it as an excuse.

so which is it? incompetence or duplicity?

If I’m understanding this correctly, you aren’t enjoying the game, yet you continue playing because of the battlepass? That sounds miserable

I actually enjoy the core gameplay quite a bit, I’m just sick of the game at this point due to the repetitive nature of Infinite along with the very small map count and number of game modes. I’ve already moved back to H5 and MCC for the time being until 343i makes some improvements but I’ll still hop on Infinite to play a game or two when I’m in the mood.

Your cry for help will gowhere around these parts. Have you seen this place lately? These people want Halo to be only for them. If it doesn’t help their rank/progress you are SOL.

I got a chuckle reading this. So the person who decided to find a solution to their issue, is the one being controlled, but the person taking what they are given, like it or not is the one thinking for themselves… WHAT!!! LOL!

I’ll play the game how I want to and you play the game how you want to.

I want to kill people. You want to go for objectives.

There is no playlist that divides this mindset so we are going to share a space until there is one.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy a game. Gotta learn to color outside the lines sometimes.
