Please no more Fiesta playlists

The maps are pretty great for this time of year and I’m loving them. I really mean that. The lights and stuff are a cool touch too. But please don’t make every mode Fiesta based. It’s not fun for many players. Anniversary Throwback was pretty great and now it’s been replaced with yet another RNG mode. We already have enough RNG with the REQ system. All Fiesta does is compound the already frustrating nature of Halo 5. Revert the game to what it was in October 2017 and you’ll get rid of all these problems.

they probably should have added some objective modes but whatever I am gonna enjoy my time on the playlist anyway

I personally don’t have fun in fiesta playlists, but it seems like the go to for a lot of players. I haven’t played in the last few days, but I know they said something about holiday fiesta in one of the recent updates. Is it taking the place of one of the other two, or are there 3 fiesta playlists now?

I think its a fun playlist, very quick games, easy to get into.

There are three Fiesta playlists now. So of the six team-based playlists in social (meaning, not counting infection), half are Fiesta. It’s a bit much and has turned Halo’s playlist selection into a joke.

I’m enjoying it because the games are fast and got plenty of CTF and strongholds last night.
Plenty of wins for targetmaster, featured playlist for increased XP, and able to get objective comm progress.
No downside for me.
Just scatter some marines around the map, so I don’t need to play warzone to help my company and we’re good!

I have to agree. 3 fiesta playlists at one time but still no dedicated objective playlist is a bit ludicrous

Yeah no kidding. I personally love having a Super Fiesta playlist just like I love having a BTB playlist. But, making half the selection the same theme doesn’t make any sense at all. Like, they wouldn’t have BTB Infection and BTB Quick Play, for example, so why have three playlists for Fiesta and none for objective like you said?

Totally agree. It has gotten to the point where almost every game mode has a fiesta variant. Holiday fiesta its like a mix of objective and social arena into one fiesta and pretty much making any game mode into fiesta without counting the other 2 we already have. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a warzone fiesta at this point since a lot of people are interested in these game modes. I would rather have BTB refreshed or improving other playlist since this fiesta modes just pulls the population and would make other playlist rotational because of this. Regular BTB is already being observed for a possible rotational and I don’t want other playlist to be affected by fiesta variants.

Real talk OP. I mean Fiesta is supposed to be that wacky non-tryhard mode that you’re supposed to kick back in after grinding. How the f it’s half or even one third of the social playlists. There are people out there that really get a kick out of the whole random thing eh? I mean it’s fun once in a while but I can’t ever imagine grinding fiesta. Getting 1-shotted by rocket launchers on sight has to get boring for some people, right?

Well I have some bad news for you. Sad to see that Warzone REQ weapons are slowly killing traditional Halo.

Fewer buckets to matchmake into, and more focus on the successful modes, and it’s not hurting those other games to not maintain multiple modes.
>
> UPDATE: So, yeah, if the most successful way to leverage H5’s sandbox turned out to be Fiesta modes, I would be all for those being the focus. Wouldn’t bother me personally.

Yeah, I can’t imagine repeatedly playing it either. I tried doing that once in the past and it was pretty annoying after a while. They’re making the playlists very Game Pass friendly while forgetting the real players who stick around for more than an afternoon.

Wow, didn’t know the guys still working on the game were so far down the road of not having a clue how to maintain a game. I normally don’t criticize developers since there are many reasons for what they do, but this is absolutely unacceptable and I am increasingly losing respect every day for the guys attempting to maintain this game. Next step: Super Fiesta Team Arena!

Soooooo basically 343 actually thinks that people love Super Fiesta so much that they thought to add three more of them? 343’s logic blows my mind!

The only fiesta playlist I like is big team super fiesta… I recently played that playlist for about 48 straight hours, not including bathroom breaks.

I don’t understand the hate for Fiesta. It’s honestly got more strategy than anyone thinks about. High speed grabbing better weapons or just trying to scrape through with something bad like an assault rifle with a suppressor, and a magnum. It’s a great game mode. However I do think that the sword and rail mode stinks.

Wow, with those complicated and in-depth strats, they should run Fiesta tournaments and replace every playlist with Fiesta. It’s truly what Halo should’ve been all along.

Also, I don’t think anyone is hating on the Fiesta gametype aside from a little criticism. We’re hating on having multiple Fiesta playlists.

It’s a limited time holiday playlist. They aren’t “making every mode fiesta-based” just because they added a special thing for the holidays. It will go away eventually.

Anniversary Throwback was going to get replaced anyway because it’s rotational, right?

Problems? They didn’t add holiday fiesta because they were trying to solve any problems. They added it because it’s a festive extra thing. I don’t think you have to worry about it so much.

I can’t help but feel like you’re looking a gift horse in the mouth, as they say. 343 is like hey we made an extra fiesta playlist with a holiday theme which will go away after the holidays! And you’re like, oh my god there’s three fiesta playlists what a joke. Just relax buddy, this isn’t a reason to worry about them turning Team Arena into Super Fiesta.

Its a different point of view but i like it
Why you dont like it the playlist?

You say that and yet the guys working on the game have been steadily adding Fiesta to everything. Look at BTB SF for example. They’ve been saying that if the core of Halo is Fiesta, then they’re okay with that. I’m sure as hell not okay with that.

The reason I brought up Anniversary Throwback is that it could have been replaced with something non-Fiesta oriented. I don’t necessarily mind rotationals being a thing. But if one of those rotationals is yet another Fiesta playlist, it’s going to be frustrating. Hope that clarifies my criticisms here.
