Please No jet pack!

Jet pack does not fit in halo… it destroys every map and is insanely op.

I much prefer the one-use grav lift equipment.

But, I suspect it will still make a return.

I don’t know about a complete removal, as its fun, and can be used for crazy stuff in customs.

Probably should stay in campaign and costems.

Are you serious?

> Probably should stay in campaign and costems.

^^^^^ Yes

But for MM it does more bad then good and it should go or be a one time use

And doesn’t give you the advantage of controlling the high ground, as enemies can JP to you.

Disabling shooting whilst using the JP would fix a lot of problems. But it still breaks maps, as it is so easy for people with JP to move around.

The only reason I use the JP is for the massive advantage it gives you for navigating a map.

The idea of JP seems great, and is fun to use. But unfortunately it causes more problems when used in Match Making.

And the Active Camo is even worse. People who sit back with a sniper and use it are the worst. Sadly AC when it was a Pickup was more used for moving around unseen and getting to an objective. With REACH and Halo 4, it is most used with a Sniper Rifle.

> I much prefer the one-use grav lift equipment.

Why Equipment in Halo 3 was so much better than AA.

Could only be used once, and if used incorrectly, too bad.

I wouldnt be against it if it was a map pick up.

I feel the only issue with JP is that it is easy to control. I love it and o fond its on;y true downfall is that when you are in the air you are exposed. Now what 343i should do it change how easy it is too use the JP while doing what i call Impro-nerfing.

Make it so the JP can do one or a number of the features that i have listed below.

  1. Jet Pack-

Make it so the jet pack is really a jet pack. When activating it make it send the player through the air about half as fast as the banshee boost or a third but make its controls very difficult. Like up is down and down is up along with it having little fuel. Make it something that only a pro at the Sport can do. Players have to maintain a certain speed and height otherwise…they slam right into whatever is in their way at the speed they were moving.

  1. Jump Kit-

Have the jetpack become a jump kit allowing players to get a double jump and bounce off walls. This would also be great for things like trick jumps along with being able to change gameplay on an equal level.

  1. Jump Jet-

Just like the brutes, the Jump Jet will throw players in the air. Each second you hold done the AA activation button lets you fly 3 meters higher up to the length of a fully charged JP. Players also won’t be able to fire until they reach the pinnacle of their charged jump.

All these together sound OP to me but 1&2 or 2&3 would be good mixes but they all sound good to me alone.

jet pack stays in halo thats all im saying.

I’m pretty sure every Halo has had jetpacks.

I can’t seem to recall one in CE though, maybe then onwards?

cough campaign, SpOps, Firefight and Customs cough

The jet pack and pretty much all of the armor abilites should be pick ups, or ordnance drops.

I don’t have too big an issue with the jet pack, I use it mostly for navigation and to give me a little boost, its usually suicide to attack someone with it.

Invisibility is on a whole other level of nonsense. It should have never been a starting loadout ability. Like how did that even get through testing. Promethean vision is okish against it but then Promethean vision screws with the game as well.

The armor abilities just shouldn’t be in starting loadouts. I’m ok with perks such as faster reloading or more ammo.

No… only Reach and 4 have had jetpacks…

> Are you serious?

Are you ? I say the jetpack stays , because it’s apart of me . It’s apart of all of us . Dead .

Like Active camo, it should be a pick up only, and have limited fuel.

Halo needs more vertical maps with large amounts of vertical interaction, and having the jet pack available off spawn would break those maps. Take Penance and Solitary as prime examples. Too many great classic maps can’t be brought back because the jet pack would ruin the flow. For that reason alone, get 'em out out of loadouts.

The Jet Pack does not belong in Halo Multiplayer.

  • It gives users a height advantage without having to use any map knowledge, jumps, or skill.
  • It breaks a map as users can easily by-pass predetermined routes.
  • It allows for easier use of Power Weapons as you can easily avoid splash damage, taking the skill out of weapons such as a Rocket Launcher.

Customs and campaign maybe, but if it’s there my guess is it would be unfortunately be likely to be in the Multiplayer as-well.

I could pull up Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, Wars etc. and show you an example of the jet pack being used.

To say the jet pack isn’t Halo is wrong. You could argue it’s too difficult to counter in mulitplayer though. (I disagree, but each to their own).

How could anyone forget these guys in Halo 2 Cairo Station (19:20m)?
