Please "Nerf" the Boltshot.

Sorry if this is a double post (I’m sure it is). I love the new forum layout, but I still can’t find a search option.

I’m honestly tired of the Boltshot and I know I can’t be the only one who is. I often find myself jumping up to Scattershot/Shotgun a noob running around the corner only to find myself laid out flat by a Boltshot charge shot at the exact same time as my “power weapon”.

I think it’s a little sad that people can spawn with something better than a Shotgun. What’s the point of gaining confidence after an ordinance drop only to get shot down (lame pun intended) by a loadout weapon?

I’m fine with it being super-powered, even if I never use it. Let them have their “Shotgun-lite”. Just don’t forget about the “lite” part. I’m sure a lot of this has to do with host connections (why do we still have this?) but I don’t think it’d kill anyone to knock the damage count just a little bit so the power weapons stand a chance.

just because you see it “rarly”(play some 4v4 and come take about it.) does NOT mean it is BAD for the game.

Well I just did the Infinity Challenge last week and that was when it became a serious problem for me.

I mean, whether it’s a big problem or a small problem; it’s still a problem. A shotgun shouldn’t be beat by a loadout secondary weapon. It just doesn’t make sense.

Having bolshot off the start is the problem. If it was a weapon pick up then there would be no problem but since everone has it, it ruins the gameplay.

Completely agree. Nerf its range and SLIGHTLY nerf its damage. It still should be a one shot at close range.

This is exactly what I’m saying. It would be perfect this way. 5 feet away, shotgun should win. 1-2 feet away, we can leave it to host. I wouldn’t complain then.

It should drain the whole clip. I find that those who miss, get another chance with the second charge and if they were to miss with the first they have cost themselves greatly. The range needs a change a bit but id say if was a full clip drained instead, it would make it more fair for CQC

People miss with the Boltshot? This must be the only way I get kills, because I haven’t noticed.

If I have Shotgun, and they have a Boltshot… I die.

The boltshot is better than the shotgun and scattershot, I’ve found myself so many times getting beaten by a boltshot when I have one of those weapons.

For the Forge playlist the boltshot cripples some maps, I don’t think it should be a starting weapon at all.

Especially one so easy to use. I’ve got less than 400 kills with it, 5/7 mastery levels… Already sick of abusing it.

I didn’t have much of a problem with the boltshot until I played the Forge playlist. It’s horrible.

Tune down the bolt, and make Magnum bloom smaller, its nearly impossible for “me” to kill anyone.

Boltshot is amazing to use, but its overpowerd.

Honestly just reduce the range. The fact that it beats the shotgun/scattershot is ridiculous. Test it out in customs yourself if you don’t believe me. Max range for the boltshot is better than either of those 2.
