Does anyone know if that’s the plan for Halo 5? That would make me happy.
Not sure but the amount of times I’ve had 20+ kills just to lose with -Yoink- teammates is enough for one lifetime.
I would assume that’s what they’re trying to do now…since they’re giving us a ranking system and all…
Considering they have a whole ranking system in place, I would imagine so.
I’m guessing that they’ve either disabled rank matching or have increased it’s search parameters because of the limited player pool the beta provides to keep matchmaking times short. I’d expect the final game will have a better grasp on matching to your rank.

Yes, that is how the ranking system should work. Remember it is beta right now.

It is actually working incredibly well for me. I have played over 50 matches and the 10 or so matches I was in last night were all matched VERY well.
Keep in mind NOT to look at the numeric SR. That is not the matchmaking number. That is not used at all for matching you with other players. …
The new matchmaking is using the symbols. “Silver” “Bronze” “Onyx” “Semi pro”. It seems to start working even better after you have played around 40+ games. It works dang near as good as the Halo 2 and Halo 3 ranked matchmaking. The more you play, the closer it matches your rank symbol to others of the same or similar symbol.
It’s a beta dude… all stats will get reset. It’s all about stress testing & feedback in a beta; They’re not worried about match people up by rank til the full game. Just be thankful the matchmaking works & takes top 2 mins to get a full game unlike mcc where you sit there for 5-10

I agree it is impossible to carry 3 negatives when you are on a assits and kd spree …

Actually this beta is indeed to make sure the matchmaking is working properly. Along with stress testing. But they are dialing in the matchmaking as a main focus for sure. After you play about 30-40 matches the matchmaking starts working VERY well.
Also they cant truly stress test the beta until BTB is introduced. 4 vs 4 is hardly a stress test. Get 16 players on the map, THATS a stress test.
Just to clarify: I don’t care about my rank or skill level. Nor do I care to improve it. I just want to be semi-sorta evenly matched so that it can be more fun for me while I play. I’m sure others would like this as well and I just wanted to know if this feature would be in the full release. And by the sounds of it, it’s already operational in the beta. Sounds like I just have to play more. Can do!

I feel the exact same way. I don’t care at all what my rank is, I just love when it actually matches me with players of my skill level. And yes it is indeed working very well. The more you play, the better it matches you to other players. And yes since its in the beta, it will be in the full game.
