I don’t care that I spent money on the maps, I’d be happier right now if the DLC was all made free right now. All my friends would have it, everyone one would be happy. No one could ever complain about lack of maps or lack of people who have maps. No one would ever have to ask for dlc required playlists.
I think 343 owes it to us though after all the troubles, at least majestic. We paid the money to play it early.

Although it would be nice to have everyone owning the maps so that they come up more often in matchmaking, there’s no way they’re going to make them free for everyone. It would alienate a lot of people who paid good money to purchase them.
While I do agree with you, and wish everone could have the maps to increase map variety, 343 doesn’t owe us anything. We bought the game and the dlc (for those of us who did). Yes, they have screwed up, but we aren’t entitled to anything in this world, let along things having to do with video games.

That would be nice, because maybe then the maps would actually show up outside of their dlc specific playlists.
Never going to happen, but I wish it would. I mean I payed for the maps and its kinda hard to play them when no one else has them… Make a DLC playlist or make them free, for the love of God.
As a season pass owner who barely gets to play the DLC maps, I wouldn’t mind seeing them free as this game’s population is rapidly declining. I’ve heard that DLC with achievements tied to them can never be free, so I think the next best thing is to just permanently discount them like 25%.

I paid good money for the map packs, and if the guy in the game lobby next to me gets them for free, there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.
While MS would never let them get away with giving them away, if i recall that was one of the reasons bungie wanted to break away from MS, sorry I sidetracked myself! At this point I wouldnt oppose them selling them insanely cheap.

Crimson maps are /._./ well sucks donkey ‘‘grifballs’’
They can’t make them free. Microsoft won’t let a company make DLC free if it has Achievements tied to it. The best we can get is for them to reduce the price, but I doubt that’ll happen either.

I also doubt that 343 will lower the prices for DLC. However, they could at least have sales on them every once in a while.

And they did have a sale just last week, so I wouldn’t expect to see another one for a while.

Duh free dlc is a thing.
Reality check - 343 JUST released the game and have released the map packs even more recently. There is no way in hell the DLC for this game is going to be free even this year. To save the population and make playlists more uniform? Yeah I’m not against it but you know what? I paid 25$ for the map pass and I and EVERYONE else would be livid if they made them free. And no, we are not ENTITLED to anything.
Halo 3 is 6 years old and it’s map packs are still 10$. Not even a discount.

If you paid 100$ you got the dlc.
And Halo 4 is well worth 60$.

I think they still the DLC for Halo Reach…so, no Chance!
They already gave away Forge World at no additional cost and put a sale on Crimson and Majestic.

ME3’s multiplayer had all DLC for free. If greedy EA can let that happen, why not Microsoft?
