If you’re like me you enjoy the competitive side of Halo, and sometimes you enjoy the social light hearted side of it. However it doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. It seems that I can either play a game of Ranked Arena against platinum and Diamond, or I can play Social Team Skirmish against ONYX and Champion Ranks whom are partied up in a 4 man team. Let’s be fair here and understand that Christmas just went, and a lot of new editions to Halo are beginning to play now. Let’s think about what their experiences are. A 15 minute game that wasn’t fun, wasn’t enjoyable in the slightest. They don’t understand why the other team just decimated and spawn trapped them. So they find a new game simply because a whole team of good players think it’s a good idea to pub stomp kids who just bought the game because obviously Ranked is too hard for them. So to finish up with what I am saying, I would personally like to see Team Skirmish become a solo cued game, simply to stop people from pub stomping. It feels like we just exchanged a 12 limit Warzone Fireteam for a 4 man smurfing session.
Please let me know if you agree or disagree, voice your opinion. I can’t be the only person sick of this. We need to as a community (community means 343i too) realize the negative impact we’re having on new players. We can’t keep chasing them all away.
I see your point and I agree but also disagree at the same time curve stomping noobs shouldn’t be a thing (no matter how fun it is) but sometimes (I’m pretty OK at the game I guess) I don’t went to play ranked because I don’t always want to try so I go on casual team skirmish so my friends and myself can just play halo which we live without having to “sweat” as the kids call it these days. But because we are “good” at the game we destroy the enemy team and are trolls or are ruining the game. But we just want to hang out and play some fun ol halo matchmaking without trying. It’s not our fault we are better at the game than the others. So what do we do? Quit playing halo if we don’t want to play comp? Is that fair?

I understand your point, my point is, if you solo cue, and you had to face off with team after team of ONYX 2500+ and Champion Rank, how much fun are you going to have? I simply don’t care how good anyone is, there’s no way you are getting through that. If you have a team take it to Ranked, you and your friends want to chill out, there’s no need to team up against SR 4 Spartans in a social playlist. That’s not chilling out that’s being cruel. It’s like a professional Football Team playing against a local Junior team.
For social playlists, you are allowed a max fireteam of 2. So if that was the case here, you could bring your buddy along but allow the two other spaces for randoms.

The problem is a lot of these teams are trying in social. if you are good at the game and just run around challenging everything that’s fine but the reality is these people are crouching around hiding off radar, calling out and have crouch mapped to a paddle and proceed crouch strafe like they are playing for money. I and many others could be doing these things too but are just trying to mess around and have fun. so what I am trying to say is that their are people that are good at the game that are not trying that hard and get forced to try so they can give those sweaty kids an L.

I’m assuming you’ve played reach and 3 and 2 etc. Don’t you have fun just popping on halo get with 3 others and play some social casual games and just laughing having a good time ( even though you are “good”) we still wanna do that here on 5. But skirmish is the only playlist. Warzone sucks (in our opinion) for reasons we don’t always wanna do ranked we just want to chill. If you say play grifball I’ll delete the game lol. But honestly what is there to do but skirmish? But on the other hand the noobs play so its bad on us for playing a game we love casually. So we have to play another game in order to that. This was never a problem before hand. 343 needs to add better social and ranked playlists so this won’t be a problem. Also on a side note halo 5’s BTB I’d garbage and this is coming from someone who use to only play BTB in other halos

I understand what your saying and I think people hoping on to destroy noobs sweating on them is bull and they should stop but I don’t think making the playlist solo que Is the way to go
I don’t agree at all, this is my issue with warzone limiting teams as now people want arena reduced. Limiting teams isn’t a solution, it causes issues and takes away from what halo offered in the past. The solution is to get solo que playlists, not take a playlist away from people that roll up in teams. Even then, when it comes to playing vs teams all I can say is tough it out. Get in a group if you want to get the better experience.
this is also why I think 343 needs a true team based matchmaking in place, it’ll alleviate some of the issue along with lone wolves playlist. People shouldn’t always be getting stomped social or ranked but teams also shouldn’t be punished just for playing a game how it’s supposed to be played and the option given to them.
ill also add that just cuz a playlist isn’t ranked doesn’t mean I won’t try to me social is unranked no stat play, not me fooling around and missing shots on purpose for the sake of others. I’ll even run in a group as that’s part of social play, chatting and having fun, you take teams say you ruin that.
I can honestly say that I haven´t been so frustrated ever before playing Halo 5 and that speaks volumes considering how annoyed I have been about the servers since launch. I have played mostly solo lately and I keep running into full or almost full fireteams on the opposing side so much resulting in curbstomp losses I am struggling to find any reason whatsoever to play Halo 5. It can´t be just me sucking because I have been on an epic losing streak (sure, the odd win or two but mostly losses) it has just sucked all the fun out of the game.
Curbstomp losses along with frequent lost connections to the servers, the game crashing daily, frame rate losses and heavy aiming. Monitors Bounty was great for content but an absolute disaster for stability/performance, while somehow, it seems I am also playing freaking pro´s every game. The fun is definitely gone at this point.

you should never really be crouching around hiding in a social playlist I have never been a fan of that crap even in ranked I would prefer no radar. I can see how the crouch strafeing would become a habit and as long as you just run around challenging everything I don’t care so much about that. I agree that making it solo queue is not the answer.

Listen I’m not saying you should but it’s just reflix now jumping up in spots and hiding juking people playing PTFO style all second nature not walking fast enough to not get seen on radar all that lol. It’s a habit now and I know others who do it too. I’m not saying im a robot if I’m playing with certain friends I’ll force myself not to try and we would try and kill each other sometimes etc. Idk me personally though I think they should add more playlists for social and ranked. This never really was a problem untill halo 5 came out. It happened but not to this extent
I doubt we’ll ever get a solo queue playlist or party restrictions so parties match other parties and it’s most likely due to low population. Yes, I know we don’t know the numbers, but we don’t need them to know this game is not popular at all. The other reason could be that 343 can’t implement them due to tech problems, but my guess is low population.
