I do not believe halo can be halo with out the dark gritty setting. Indeed I feel as if I’m playing a super hero in Halo 5. Halos have sold fine with the M rating, please oh please do not ruin any story or gameplay for the sake of a T. Bring back the flood. Seriously though if it is rated T, I am 90% probably not going to buy a halo lite, unless it gets 9, maybe 8.7 stars to account for ps fanboys. Anyone agree with me, anyone? Because the gameplay shown looks like the game was rated T, aka horrible, aka not halo. I really don’t think 343 will change that decision unless there is a large, a very large push by the community to do so. I am silently praising this delay so that 343 can change this. I’m not saying 343 should copy bungie’s halo, that won’t work today, but copy the universe as it is, as all sequels should. I get 343 is trying thier hardest I just wanted to post my quiet desperation for a real halo, not these knock offs who’s story involved the overused cliche of the phycology of sentient ai.

While I’d prefer an M rating, the rating of the game is outside of 343’s control. That’s determined by the ESRB.
That being said, it seems that 343 has put effort into making the game more accessible to younger audiences. The lack of blood (or at least the reduction in blood spatter) has contributed to a T rating, but I’m more concerned with the story than what rating the game gets. H5 sucked imo because the story sucked, not because it was T rated.
i really want to see another M rated Halo, i 100% agree

its not 100% out of their control, if they want an M rating they just need to add some Gore/Blood and language here and there
As much as I would love to gib the Banished as if this were Doom, it is not going to happen in Infinite. Now if a few years down the line if id isn’t too busy with Doom 3 they could possibly try their hand at a bloodier/grittier spinoff title for Halo.

Language is what makes halo exciting

If by superhero you mean Underpowered wimp that can’t kill 5 unggoy without having to duck behind cover every 2 seconds
I 100% prefer an M Rating. However, a T rating would get more sales. If 343 doesn’t add the Flood just because it’s T rated, I won’t be happy. The Flood is the #1 thing that I want in Infinite

Its a constraint field.
Its like the force field that Tartatus’ hammer had to subdue people with. Except compacted into his gauntlet.

You’re absolutely right that they have some level of control by inserting things into the game that are established by the ESRB as things that warrant an M-rating. The point I was trying to make is that I’d prefer 343 focus on making a good story. If that good story warrants an M-rating, then so be it. I just don’t want them throwing stuff to jack up the rating without considering whether or not it would make the story better.
Kids usually don’t play Campaign just Multiplayer games nowadays. So now that the Multiplayer was announced to be free to play give us Halo story fans a M-rated Halo Campaign!
