I was just reading an article on examiner.com, which reads:
Halo 5 has not been announced or even hinted at yet. It’s unknown if 343 Industries has any intention of releasing a Halo 5 anytime in the future. For now players will have to stick to Halo 4 for at least a few years. If a Halo 5 release date is ever announced, this page will be updated correspondingly. Most of us Halo fans are really hopeful that someday the series will continue through the making of a Halo 5. If not, I’m sure the entire fan base of Halo would be thoroughly upset and devastated. It’s up to Microsoft and 343 Industries to make a new Halo 5, so if you really think they should make a Halo 5 as soon as possible, be sure to send them emails, make petitions, and talk about your desires on forums as much as possible.
So I came straight here to say YES, I really want a Halo 5 ASAP. I loved Halo 4 and found it to be near perfect, so my ideal Halo 5 would be exactly like Halo 4, but with continued campaign and the split-screen lag problem resolved, as well as a UNSC flying vehicle implemented in multiplayer.
Please 343, hear me in my time of need!
Dude, Halo 4 just released, Halo 5 has another 3 years of development to go through, chill, or it will be just as unfinished as both Halo 2 and Halo 4 were at launch.
Halo 5 and 6 have been confirmed almost 2 years ago, Halo 5 is confirmed to release Holiday season of 2015.
Halo 4 is the start of a new Trilogy and Halo 4 resolves, finishes up what Halo 3 introduced in 2007.
> > Halo 5 and 6 were confirmed years ago. Also the domain names for halo 7 8 and 9 . com have been registered by Microsoft.

> Wth Microsoft?! Let the Halo Franchise go to rest after Halo 6
> You Milking -Yoinks!-!!
Just because they registered the domains doesn’t mean they’re actually making the games. Many gaming companies have done things like this before, just to protect the domain names and not let random people take them and confuse others.

I don’t want it to go its my favorite game of all time.
If it helps, Halo is considered Xbox’s killer app. I highly doubt Microsoft is going to let Halo go anytime soon. It’s just bringing in too much money for them to get rid of. Sure, they could and still stay in business from the other great games, but Halo is so successful. If you owned a business that draws in customers by certain icons, would you get rid of the icon bringing you the most money? Probably not.
The current rumor is that Halo 5 will be flagship for the next gen (Xbox 720, Nextbox, whatever you want to call it). Since the new console is supposed to be announced this year sometime prior to E3, odds are we’ll see the first stuff for Halo 5 there. Just don’t expect Halo 5 to be on the 360, odds are very very good it will be on the next console, the only question is whether it will be a flagship title or released later on.
> Fact is, Halo 5 is a next gen game, and will sure as hell be one of the most powerful.
>
> and no Let 343 take their time and FINISH the game, don’t give us another 4, give us a very finished and very polished two.
This I loved Halo 4 but it still have alot of Polishing to do and God the Multiplayer aspect.
But also because of this 343i is now aware of all it’s mistakes and gonna work hard to make the flaws be fixed which makes pretty darn Excited.
