Please make BTB Drops symmetrical 343

I just had a match of CTF that was fairly close and enjoyable…until the game back-to-back screwed us with vehicles. The enemy team got a Scorpion to our Warthog, then a Wasp to our Ghost. It went from a very close match to a loss in very short order.

The vehicle and weapon drops are cool and a nice way to alter the pace of a match, but when they happen they need to either be Neutral (contested by both teams AKA in the center of the map) or they need to be the same on each side (both sides get a Wraith, both get a Wasp etc). It isn’t fun to lose because the game just RNG’d you in the butt.

Would be nice to have vehicle drop pads. Areas that you can see and know when a drop is going to come in. The issue is it’s random and not balanced. If it was predictable and balanced with visual queues to tell you when it’s coming and where then I’d love them

In all reality, the vehicle drop mechanic needs a total rework. If they want to keep it the pelican should drop power vehicles in the center of the map only once or twice a game. The rest of the vehicles should spawn on pads at the bases like every other halo. Nothing is worse than the event that OP described when playing BTB

They really need to be, we just had a Warthog drop on our side and they get a Tank, like come one it’s outrageous & unfair

The idea of having some weapons and vehicles on the map from game to game isn’t a bad idea.

But not having the guns and vehicles match for each team during a match is a complete joke.

Like, let’s look at H3 Avalanche and imagine one team gets their usual Wraith and the other team gets a ghost instead. That scenario is not only possible in Infinite, it’s common! How could anyone look at that and say it’s a balanced system?

Nine months they have had to sort things in BTB, they have done virtually nothing for BTB.
Its not just vehicles its weapons too, I really want to know what they were smoking when they thought vehicles falling from the sky & dumb rotations for weapons on racks was a good idea?
Its utter laziness, no attempt has been made to properly balance this mode.

Wow, such high standards and so ungrateful. Back in my day (9-ish months ago) BTB wasn’t even functional. We had two warthogs and a mongoose and we had to share the 'goose.

You want a fun AND BALANCED game? You should be down on your knees thanking 343 that you can even load into a match and offering your wallet to show your gratitude.

People are so entitled.

Imagine not being able to adapt quickly enough to survive in a dynamic battlefield environment.

Hearing all these “lone wolves” reactions outside of a discord channel would be really hilarious.

Imagine a BTB where everyone is using comms to coordinate their attacks, vs. your average BTB where everyone does whatever the heck they want and hopes for the win (or favourable vehicle drops).

At least for BTB, drops need to revert back to the traditional model of regular spawns at fixed locations symmetrically opposed on the map. The matchmaking algorithm already does enough work to balance teams on the back end. The element of randomness breaks the fair balance of play and throws un-skill-related factors into play. I’m ok with the game handicapping the winning team (by spawning power items on the losing side) IF the game is like 50-0, but the base game should always be equal.
