please make a better campaign in h5

I don’t know about you but i am disappointed in the story of halo 5.
i dint like the whole “didact” thing, and the stupid stuff like when the librarian turns you into super chief. and im tired of pressing buttons!

i like the story in reach where its just a covenant human war, and halo 3 where their are two main people to kill the gravemind and truth

they need to get some pro story writers

I found the campaign to be amazing, very emotional and touching. It was great to see the Didact in the games at last. 343 did a great job, and I look forward to playing Halo 5!

You do know they got the guy who wrote Halo the Fall of Reach the graphic novel Brian Reed to write for Halo 4. They also got someone who helped write the story for mass effect 1 and 2. And had a whole in house team of writers to help them out. Don’t just assume they didn’t get pro writers. When they in fact got writers who had halo canon under their belt and wrote other triple AAA title stories.

The campaign was great. It was the best Halo campaign in games.

Also, super chief? She made him immune to the Composer thats it for the moment. She may have done other things but nothing that affected gameplay.

Dude in the previous Halo’s there was almost little to no interactivity, i kinda liked pressing the buttons. All the missions felt like they had a purpose and each had something special and memorable. And the Didact is way better than the Prophet of Truth but is on par with the Gravemind. Plus hes a BA. This was the best Halo campaign since the first one for sure.

I think the story is good, but I do wish they had done a better job explaining things for those who have not read the Greg Bear novels. I can see how someone whose only exposure to Halo is the games could be quite confused about alot of stuff in Halo 4.

The story was the best of the series, IMO. Its on a mich larger scale now, which is great… connecting everything thats happened.

The only problem I had (not neccesarily me) was that it should have been a bit longer to help explain things. I can see a lot of places where people who haven’t read the recent Kilo 5 Trilogy or Forerunner trilogy would get lost and confused.

The campaign was well done! It was beautiful, emotional, and action pack!

You’re joking me…

Halo 4 had probably the best story in the series because 343 actually cares about the story, whereas Bungie only cared about making “pew pew! Kill aliens!” campaigns.

Reach had the worst campaign by far. There was ZERO plot. It was just “Go here, do that, mission over. Ok next mission, do that, go here, press this…”

… are you kidding me halo community

No way man…

Halo 4’s story was genuine. I always wanted to know more about the Forerunners and how John 117 is kind of a “chosen one”. I finally got a piece of that in Halo 4. Some of the novels out there are great, and 343 is collaborating into further expansion of the story.

And that’s a good thing because after Halo: ODST I wasn’t really sure where the story was headed…

i hate people like you who don’t even understand the story

I understand Reach’s story completely. You know why? Because there was so little of it that anyone could understand it. There was no real “story”, it was just random happenstances and missions. There was nothing really linking them together.

And you obviously don’t understand Halo 4’s story. I hate 16 year olds like you that started with Reach.

This story was completely horrible.

Major stuff was left unexplained, no new character was developed at all and were all newly ripped from their generic molds, the whole rampancy thing was basically ignored until it was needed, and it turned into freaking Twilight at the end.

They need to fire all those writers get new ones because all the previous Halo games with their simpler story made this game look seriously bad.

More like 14.

I didn’t really like Reach’s story, way to simple. The biggest problem to me is that Reach had so much potential…

OT: Halo 4 campaign is so much better than Reach’s IMO.

Halo 4 was the best Halo campaign since Halo CE in my opinion.

It’s left unexplained because it creates mystery and anticipation for the next game. You want them to just reveal everything at once? The rampancy issue permeated the entire game if you couldn’t tell. And if something gets emotional, it’s suddenly Twilight?

Right, they should just fire those top notch writers and bring back some novices that don’t know jack about stories. Great idea.

Why are you bring age into this? Being 16 doesn’t make you “immature” and being older then that doesn’t make you more “mature”. I started with halo reach, and I loved halo 4’s campaign. I just feel a lil offended when people use age as an insult.

This is how I feel as well.

My favourite campaigns:

  1. Halo 3: ODST
  2. Halo: Combat Evolved
  3. Halo 4
