First off, hate to be “that” guy, preaching what’s best, but I’m pretty confident Im speaking on behalf of the true Halo community out there.
So Im not trying to bash the game by any stretch, just needed to voice a few rather obvious complaints/suggestions that could actually still be implemented to make this new Halo experience all the better. So here goes…
Firstly, Rank. I know its set up the way it is, experience points based, not a fan. But that being the way it is, theres still nothing stopping 343 from telling you what your personal skill level is on your own service record. If not a 1-50 number, then BPR (as in reach). Just PLEASE something/anything to strive for, trying to better your skill rating is everything, thats essentially what made Halo, Halo. Heard rumors this was going to happen pre-launch, so disappointed its not the case. This
Secondly, remove the friendly fire from the standard playlists. Basic matchmaking should remain the way its always been. Why not make a separate playlist where team mates cant hurt team mate, dont make it the new norm.
Lastly, playlists. Miss SWAT, multi-team, snipers, hog-race (I personally hate hog race). Least theres been progression in this regard, as SWAT has returned. Thank you.
Thats the crux of it really. Again not hating by any means. Games pretty awesome as a whole, but Im crying out for some minor changes to make Halo, still Halo.
Agree on rank…the other two I could care less about…they just added more playlists, but for the LOVE OF YOUR GAME ADD MORE DAMN MAPS!!!
I am tired of playing slayer on the same 5 damn maps, which is more like 3 because people only vote for certain ones. This gets extremely boring map pack one out now please and thank you
I think the playlists thing just needs to be given some more time. We’ve been having new things added each week so in my mind all it boils down to is a bit of patience.
Although to be a mediator, I think it would be nice if there was a poll somewhere about which playlists we would like to see added in like 2 weeks time or around that area.
I think they care. I mean, rather than addressing concerns, they updated the main page with a piece on the midnight launch which took place 2 weeks ago. It has pictures of happy fans in it. You know, that’s something.
I’ll assume you haven’t been paying attention to halo 4 news cause some of your complaints have been answered. It’s fine that you haven’t. Not everyone spends an hour a day looking at what is new in the halo world.
Two of your issues have at least partially addressed. Weather or not you like them is up to you.
For the playlist, SWAT has been in for a week now, and snipers was put in today. They said they will be adding additional playlist in the future but they just wanted to start small and expand in the beginning.
For the ranking. They have a hidden rank right now. They have said they will put a ranking system similar to halo 3 that you can view in your waypoint stats. They wanted to make sure it was working before they released it which is why you don’t have it yet.
They are going to allow you to see your skill ranking in an update in the near future
Do you mean add friendly fire? (When Friendly fire is present you CAN hurt teammates)
I think certain playlists should keep it off, (swat, ctf) while others turn it on.
And lastly it seems like they’re going to be adding a new playlist each week, so stay tuned I guess.

You do know there are 3 map packs scheduled for release, with the first coming next month, right?
