I don’t see why AI kills don’t count towards the weapon accommodations. Specially the hard ones like the mantis and spnker which I was hoping to be able to achieve in firefight because I’m not wasting the ONI or Hannibal mantis because they are too rare and the only good mantis types. And the mantis is pretty crap to get kills with lets be real here. So please patch in FF to allow it to progress our weapon accommodations. Getting some of them is pure torture in regular warzone
If on bosses, sure. If on grunts and crawlers then no, that’ll finish most commendations in 2 games.

Yeah that’s what I mean, had 3 hours sleep and still playing late at night. I’m almost done with a bunch of comms and they are either boarded too easy or they suck majorly to get Spartan kills with
I did my mantis commendation with the normal one. If your team has a tank, try to hang close to it. I found out the chaingun is quite good for taking out boarding enemies and the tank driver will like you too 
Fire bursts with chaingun and be careful when to use your missiles. Don’t poke yourself out too much and back away from a rushing spartan as you shoot him. Mantis had an armor buff in this recent patch, haven’t used a mantis since then though, so I cannot say how much more damage it can take now.
Commendations aren’t supposed to be easy, with how easy that would be there’s not even much of a point to having the commendations. You have a community full of people, many of which have probably spent many hours grinding out the weapon commendations. They’re things to work for, not just get handed to you.

I’m sorry but the mantis has a tickle cannon for a gun and the rockets are not accurate in the slightest. And why would i choose a mantis over a scorpion when a scorpion is much better?

You are defending the weak mantis?
Not necessarily, I mostly meant weapons not vehicles, but yes the mantis is weak, that doesn’t mean you make it significantly easier to complete the comms for every other vehicle that isn’t nerfed.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was kind of scratching my head at the title trying to figure out what this thread was about.
They need to fix the mantis, which they upgraded the armor in the most recent update, not make vehicle comms ridiculously easy to get.

Chain gun needs a damage buff as well as the stomp not being utter trash. Upgrading the armor was part of the problem but not as big as the tickle gun and marshmallow cannons
From what I’ve heard yes, I honestly have only used the mantis like twice? Haven’t unlocked it yet but it sounds broken.

If it was decent and good at killing I would not ask to be able to get vehicle and weapon comms from FF. But that’s not the case…
Makes sense but the solution to the problem isn’t to break something to cope for something else being broken, just fix what’s broken in the first place. I wish I could make the mantis better but I don’t exactly work for 343.

343 goes by the motto “fix what ain’t broke and somehow find a way to ruin it”. As much as I hated halo 4, the mantis was really good in that game.
FF is easymode for the enemy commendations
Lawl, if they did that i had finished all my commondations on lvl 60 that would be boring as hell, you get weekend playlist which give you the oppotunity pushing weapons, you can btb for spnrk, sparten laser, binar rifle, now even the mantis, if you get certifications and know how to use your weapon you can make them finish them in warzone
i personally like the mantis, sure its a bit weak against a scorpion, but the commondations get realy quick done, many need the mantis kills, and keep swarming to you like moths to the light and if you got the hanibal mantis or even better the oni mantis you easy can make up to 30 kills with one mantis
i finished all my weapon commondations and almost every for vehicle, need 4 more kills with the phateon and about 54 mongoose to destroy (the hardest commondation after staying alive for a whole game in breakout)

You would choose the mantis because you want to do the commendations, right? And also Mantis handles better than a scorpion, even though the firepower isn’t the same. The missiles easily kill a rushing spartan and are ok against a banshee. I know it isn’t the best vehicle, but I sometimes deploy it just for the heck of it. And it was actually quite good in WZ:FF if the objective was outside. Also not that bad in BTB, Got 17 kills with one in a match.

Just play Big Team. There are all sorts of opportunities for the supposedly “rare” commendations you’re talking about. Probably a half dozen maps have the SPNKR, and Fracture has two mantises (it’s been removed from Guillotine, though I racked up numerous commendation points while it was there).
Right now the tough commendations are Beam Rifle, Saw and Phaeton gunner (pilot), but those will probably change with new maps too. For those, your best bet is still Warzone.
