So as you all know. The only way to ever mute Halo music, was to press the xbox guide button, then play your own music, then pause your music.
I’m not saying the music is bad. I’m saying that the feeling of headphones plus no music plus legendary is amazing.
The sound effects are amazing in these games.
Please let us mute the music.
I never understood why there has yet to be an option to control the music, sound effects, and dialogue volumes. This should be standard in every game by now.
There is a reason why computers are design for things like this.
Well lets try to make some more noise for this issue so 343 pays attention.
yeah! sort of like what mine craft has
Blasphemy. Marty’s music in Halo 1-3 elevates absolutely everything to a whole other level.
Would be a damn shame to mute it.

Legendary plus epic Halo music equals amazing. Seriously, just play the mjolnir mix during legendary playthroughs and tell me that does not sound awesome.
Earth City fits the theme of Halo 2 best, in my opinion.
I know these words are coming from a musician, so it’s a little biassed, but why would you want to mute music. I mean, yeah, the sounds of war are enticing, but I’ve always found myself more sucked into the gameplay when an epic soundtrack like Halo’s would be playing in the background, IE: when Breaking Benjamin played in that part of the first High Charity mission with the Covenant moshpit and Cortana advised to “Sit this one out.” I’d just sit there and watch the carnage with that epic music in the background. Ah, memories.

This so much. I have never even thought abut muting the halo music ingame
If you stuck around in a certain part of a campaign mission, for maybe an hour at least, a random soundtrack would play… Well not random but nothing you would have heard if you actually had the time to mess around that long on one level.
Kind of fits wasting hours trolling leets on Hotel Zanzibar’s roof.
I don’t necessarily want to mute my music, but I would love if we could have control over in game audio.
At this rate it looks like H2A’s music will be drowned out by its own sounds, the same problem that faced CEA and Halo 4.
Yeah, there’s a reason you can’t, Marty O’Donnell.
He spenr a large quantity of time after actually developing the music and sound effects adjusting volume levels for every single aspect of the game so that it’s “perfect” and he did a damn fine job doing it. When 343i took over, it was just a Halo thing to have all the sound effects and music in perfect balance… It would have worked too if Halo 4 didn’t have such awful sounds.
Other then Halo 3 ODST, Deus Ex and Unreal, Halo 2 has the best music in a agame ever IMO but I would still love an option to turn off music. It’s simple to do so I can’t see it taking pretty much any development time so why not? It would be great for roleplaying on Heroic for me personally. Yeah, roleplaying on a game like Halo…shut up, don’t judge me
