Like many of you, I don’t like the new features of the Xbox One. I support DRM and I think that the family circle thing is cool… assuming it just means 10 people, then my friends in the UK can now share overseas. However I don’t like having to be connected once every 24 hours. It’s not a major inconvenience and won’t effect me when I’m playing, but let’s say 10 or so years from now they shut down XBONE’s servers like they did with Xbox. Does that just turn my console into a brick sinc eI can’t connect anymore and can’t play my games?
I dunno, I might stick with Microsoft due to Halo, which in it’s current state… I don’t think I will. I mean half my friends already confirmed they were moving to Playstation. I just hope they release the game on the 360 as well.
Halo 3 didn’t come out on the xbox, this won’t come out on 360
You’re upset about what might happen 10 years from now in 2023? If you get 10 years worth of good entertainment from Xbox One,I would consider that a pretty good value.
The 360 has 6 Halo titles, its time to move on.
> Halo 3 didn’t come out on the xbox, this won’t come out on 360
This. Sorry, but just like the jump many Halo fans took going from Halo 2 on the original Xbox to Halo 3 on the 360, people will have to buy the Xbox One if they want to continue playing the new Halo games.

What you’re saying is true, but I think what OP meant is that he’s afraid he won’t be able to revisit ‘old games’ like Halo 5 and 6 in 2023 or whenever they shut down XB1.
If I pull out wy old Playstation I can still play any of the games I still have for that system. And its nice to revisit old games and systems from time to time.
I played Mario Kart for the SNES a few weeks ago, just for fun I haven’t touched this game in over 15 years, and it was nice. I do the same with my favorite PS and PS2 games, and I can still play them at will.
Like OP, I’m wondering if I’ll be able to play any game I own for XB1 in the distant future.

Exactly, that’s $50 per year for just the console.
