Please let me private my forge maps / gametypes.

Why isn’t this a thing?
If you spend 100 hours on a map…you’re gonna want people to know you made it.
But no, someone can go in your file browser, load your map, re-save it…and then it’s in their name.
At least let us put maps on private.
Why is this not a thing already?

just water mark your maps to say, find a spot on the map add something there, hidden to where only you know what it is at, atleast thats what ive heard to do. idk how effective it would be, but at least its a chance to protect yourself

Has this happened to you? While there are malicious folk out there, I highly doubt theres anyone that saves everyone they come across as a friend to save all their map variants so that they can check them to see if any are worth stealing.

They could just make it so that you have to actually “share” the map for anyone to see it in your files.

Watermark is a good idea

Or (Like reach), the map could have a “created by” and an “edited by” spot in the description. The “created by” spot would forever have your name in it and you could rest easy.
