Well I reinstalled MCC and think about SLASO.
Yes I have fun in Infinite but some things just leave a strange feeling.
With the way the ranked system works - this needs to be a thing and slayer should be the only ranked playlist. Currently it’s better to just boost kd than win. You can argue individual contribution as much as you want - but you can’t argue it’s EASIER to sit back and pick people off, using your teammates and objective as bait than it is to go get the objective, hold it, and win with it. People ranking up during a loss is worse than the old h2 system with people ranking down for dominating players they have no business playing to start with.
Even if ranked was only team slayer, you will still have people using teammates as bait. Y’all know who you are that do this and you aren’t as good as the number next to your name.

Sho am. Official word is game modes will open up before the end of the year. Guess I was 2 weeks or so early with my prediction.
But my guess they are doing that because the player count is dropping and not because everyone is posting online. Its f2p. Which means they want you to get 5 oddball games so you cant complete that lag challenge. Then you drop $$$ on challenge swap. The last thing they wanted is for players to enjoy a specific game mode so much that they dont even care about the monetary system they are not participating in. But it looks like 343 has no choice.

Actually they didn’t specify ranked slayer just slayer fiesta and swat which is not what we want. I do like Fiesta, but as far as ranked modes We want a ranked team slayer arena which has been in every halo game ever made not that objective with slayer bs.

Strongly agree man. And this was 343’s fault for deciding to make the multiplayer free to give an excuse its a money issue to have additional servers that BS!
I like CTF in BTB not really in the smaller maps. If they had ranked BTB like they did in H2 and H3 days then that would be a good move.

The idea of just playing Slayer endlessly just sounds so boring. I don’t get why people want to only play Slayer. Doesn’t it get repetitive?

I agree, but I do like to mix it up. I don’t understand why we can’t have objective only and slayer only. Sketch’s “unhealthy” comment doesn’t make sense with the high population we have right after launch.

I think the challenge system is too deeply integrained into the few playlists to just split it into a slayer and a objective playlist. (And maybe not enough challenge swaps will be bought?)
I only like playing slayer and one flag. They really need to separate the playlists for sure. And soon.

i dunno man something fishy is going on here and it seems to me 343 isn’t being totally honest through the channels they use to speak to us… i just heard something that says they aren’t being honest to us, for what reason I don’t know…
