I would love to be able to not have to carry a secondary weapon.
- I would never use it anyway (very seldom if I did).
And 2. I would prefer not to have to switch weapons in order to pick up my power weapons.
So please, 343i, let me have the choice not to carry one in my custom load out.

It’s doubtful that there’ll be a none option. Is it really that much hassle to press one button to switch to your secondary and switch the weapon? I’d have that done in a matter of milliseconds.

Plus, if everyone else has the Power Weapons and you’re stuck with a BR on a big map, you’re Effed.
I’ve actually been working on a gametype in Reach where nobody spawns with a secondary weapon. This is to encourage moving around the map to pick up another weapon. I’ve been thinking that maybe Halo could benefit from no secondary weapons. May need some people to test out this gametype when I get it running.

I can’t think of a reason it would hurt anyone else and if you want to waste a perk on it, well ok…
maybe you should be rewarded with a few extra mags worth of your primary’s ammo?

yea because pressing one button in order to pick up a power weapon is REALLY difficult to do…/s
smart people are going to have a secondary because you’ll never know when you run out of ammo and you’ll need that magnum in your back pocket.

It’s a specific thing to do for that small reason, but I don’t see why everyone has to rip on you for wanting it. Seems simple enough. I could never think of a reason I’d want it, but why not?
Everyone loves an optimal amount of options.

That’s an excellent idea. But I’d only allow it in one playlist in Matchmaking, if any. Sounds great for custom games though.

Seriously though, I’ve played less than 20 customs that weren’t just me testing spawns by my self, I NEED THIS…
I have no problem with this, if people want to run around with one weapon let them.

I would be designing the weapons on the Loadouts around the AA. Like giving the AL a weaker weapon like the Plasma Pistol or Plasma Repeater. The AL player will need to look for another weapon to be more effective and if you encounter him and he starts firing you’ll know what AA he has equipped and how to deal with him. Can also add to the mental part of competitive gaming by giving players the option to pickup those weapons and try to confuse the other team with what AA he has equipped and make them react the wrong way.
#2 is the only good reason I would go for it maybe if it also added faster sprint regen
that and because without having to rotate weapons you wont have to hold the button to switch while hoping your HOLD registers before someone else

Your choice, but you’re going to be in some funky situations without a secondary.

Slow switching times.
It’s not worth it.
