I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately and to me it just makes too much sense for Halo to launch in early summer.
With this being a “10 year plan” I’d assume that that means that every year, or maybe every-other, there is going to be a sizable update that’s bound to bring people back. Halo could dominate the summer every year. I understand that there’s got to be data showing that games released in holiday sell better or whatever, but if this game launches in holiday 2021 I don’t think it’s going to look good.
I know we’ve heard it all before; Halo is not in the place that it used to be, and this game has a horrible stigma to it already. Next holiday is going to be filled with the first real batch of “next-gen” games and Halo as a cross-gen title won’t look good comparatively. On top of that, moving forward, they would be releasing expansions along side brand new games every year. Summer is barren, and it’s when a lot of people are looking for something new to play.
Just something that I was thinking about.
