There was a big story i typed out about this but I think it is better if i keep it short.
Kids like Halo. It has become very clear to me that this is true over the past week. With out a doubt is the next big Sci Fi the spans decades. It has already taken its first claim in the 2000’s. 343i you have the flag now. You know that we can’t win unless you score it. You made it so it can’t be dropped UNLESS YOU DIE! So score it and hunker down or go for more.
Back to topic. My 7 year old nephew and his friends love the game to the point that he tired to steal it from me. Little Devil. He’s been asking me everything about the series to the point that i had to say 343i is still working on that.
I’ve never been the one to be the center of attention but when you have the eager eyes of children gazing at you in awe as if you are a god it is really a sad thing when you have to say “well, that’s it.” and leave. I’m not saying make Halo my child friendly. I’m sure many of those at 343i have children of their own and know what they like and what they don’t but they my nephew and his friends seemed to be really interested in Halo lore and without a doubt the game.
Too bad i only have 2 controllers, we had to do the when you die you had it over thing. Of course when candy came into play i had to shut off the Xbox but Kids love Halo. Teens love Halo, adults love Halo. That is a Blessing and also a Damnation. I don’t know about the elderly if anyone has been gaming with their Grandparents that sounds awesome and good for you but i think the Elderly might not be too attracted to Halo.
P.S. I’m looking for artist for a certain project that i am doing if anyone is looking to put their skills to work (maybe) send a me a MSG on XBL, Email me at [CLASSIFIED] or just put it here.
Also the less question asked about the project the better. I’m not saying its something shifty but when i get on the subject of it I won’t shut up. I have realized this problem and I am working on it.
Now i’m going to go play some League-Knalxz, just got it and a enjoy it alot.
P.S.S. I highlighted that part just of the irony. 343i might just be the only hope for Halo and so far Delko is not impressed.
What the hell did I just read? I don’t understand your post. You want Halo to become more mature and less kid-oriented, is that so? Well, I like Halo to be reached by many different audiences but honestly this is not so bad when the game is fair for anyone. 343i made Halo 4 for casuals, hopefully they’ve learned from that and will make Halo 5 better.
Sorry Delko, but i just couldn’t find the focus of your post (if there even was one…).
Honestly Halo needs gore and dismemberment.Which would still not stop kids from playing and would probably increase the amount playing lol.Since most kids nowadays are infatuated with violence and chaos.Nothing will change that.At least i think the topic or partial topic of this thread relates to kids in some way.No way to tell.
One problem i am having with your post is that i couldn’t decipher whether you were complaining about there being too many kids or not enough. It wasn’t clear. This in no way shape or form belongs in the Halo Xbox One forum section, though i’ll leave that to the mods.In my eyes it’s borderline Off-topic with everything.
tl;dr:This has no topic and seems to be in the wrong forum section.Halo needs more gore and violence which will grab the younger generations attention.Kids love Violence!
I have to agree with the two members above me. I’m sort of confused on what you wrote, b/c it seems, like net said, you want Halo to be more Young Adult/Adult type of game, and less kid-oriented. IMO, that won’t change at all, exactly what Yum said. However, I really can’t respond b/c its just too confusing.
In addition and it has been said, this type of thread doesn’t belong in the Xbox One section.
Firstly, Halo should represent mature themes and story telling. That does not mean they have to pump up the gore, language, or blood “just because”. Mature means they need to deal with real conflict and internal struggles and heavy stuff that youngsters will grow to appreciate as they grow with the games. That’s one thing that will give it an edge over the otherwise violence-saturated FPS games of the generation.
The only “kid friendly” things they need to do is preserve the integrity of cooperative and splitscreen play. Campaign co-op was the bread and butter of the original games and it’s sad to see brotherhood gaming going down the pipes due poor graphic performance. Halo really needs to win back its core audience, and that starts with honoring some of the more timeless traditions that are all but gone from the genre.
