I havent played halo since halo 3, my wife just got me halo 5 console with the game. This is my first xbox one .I used the code to download but its going slow is that normal? And yesterday i was 30% and today it went from 0 to reinstalling or it says updating now its at 15 and climbing? Let me know!
So its a huge file, be patient and let it do its thing, if the console shut off during the installation it will have to “restart the download”
my suggestion is to put your console into "never shut off during inactivity* until the download has completed
Its a massive game dude, something like 46gig, its going to take a while to download/install

Welcome to the wonderful world of digitally downloading on Xbox One.
Depends on your download speed most of the time, but when it goes slow the servers are just spacing it out cause multiple users would be downloading at the same time.
Is your xbox one power settings as energy saving or instant on?
Where do i go to set my xbox one for that inactivity? Thanks guys for responding didnt know there was this big community for halo.
Main game is about 42.6gb, plus the 9gb update,. Largest file on my xb1 after halo mcc

Nah, i left mine on for 12 hours to download Halo 5 lol. But i think it was done wayyy before the 12 hour mark lol.

How fast is your internet speed to take that long to download? My internet is extremely fast but I’m not sure if you guys are downloading slow because everyone is trying to download? 50+ GB should take me around 2 hours or less but I want a physical copy so there is that.

Download speed for mine is like 1.7mbps. Is that good or should i upgrade my internet?
Man have fun I’m jealous that you got the console it looks amazing but have fun you are going to love the One.

its 20 mbps down 8mbps up, so -Yoink- lol. Getting fibre soon tho so :D, but like i said, it could of been done a lot earlier cause i wasnt watching it.
Not sure if you already know but I figured if you don’t it will really save you some heartake later: once you finish downloading you have to wait until next Tuesday (Oct 27) to play because that is the official release date.
