Please Help me... I cant play Halo 4

The Servers are always unavailable after one game of Halo 4, do i need to trigger a port or forward one? if so what is the port number? or do i just have to wait a month for them to fix it?? Please help…

Seems more like a NAT problem, look it up on the microsoft website to what to port forward.

To forward a port? Okay.

  1. Go to Xbox.
  2. Go to Network Settings.
  3. Look at IP Address.
  4. Get the last number in the address; it will be in the format of XXX.XXX.XXX.X, you want the last X.
  5. Go to your router settings: http://router
If your router has that feature.
  6. Go to port forwarding, you should see the first 9 X’s as numbers and greyed out, and then an insertable point for the last X.
  7. Insert the last X and save the settings.

Hope this helps somehow?

My Nat type is always open.

Have you reset your internet connection lately? And if your NAT is open, you can still forward the port. It can’t hurt to try that out too.

I was just on Halo 4 and there weren’t any server issues.

I’d also give a call to your ISP and find out if they’re having any issues if you’re sure your NAT is always open and that your network is clear.

From looking around it looks like a lot of people are having this problems depending on the server you are on, so idk. I had to forward a port for black ops II, activision gave me the game port number and I have my internet provider walk me through it, i was hoping maybe to just get a short number for halo 4 to do the same lol, but 343 doesn’t have a way to contact them, and they have said that when you get that message you are on a hopper server so idk if its my internet or a problem with them for my area. It is confusing lol. I just want to play the game :frowning:
