ok so the Librarian tells MC that the Forerunners fought the human before, in the past. But I dont get it because when i watched halo legends it showed rock age humans when the forerunners were activating the Halos to destroy the flood for the first time. what had happened to the technologically advanced humans by that time? also, on the halo 4 terminal charum hakkor it shows the Librarian anf the Didact talking over some kind of village som im “WTF?” can someone explain this to me ? and also what are the precursors ?
I’d say that the ancient humans were running away from the flood and also trying to prevent the forerunners to get infected, but something goes wwrong and the humans get reset or some -Yoink- and the forerunners must fight the flood
By the time the time the halo’s were fired the forerunners had already de-evoled humanity and stripped them of their tech.

High Tech Humans blowing up Forerunners, in order to prevent stopping the spread of Flood.
Forerunners, Didact, get mad. Wage War with Humans. (Why didn’t they talk it out or explain about the flood? I don’t know)
Didact, Forerunners, destroy Humans after many years.
Humans now primitive on earth.
Flood start infecting Forerunner.
Launch Halo rings.
Librarians’ humans leave ark.
Your grandparents->Parents-> You.

101,001 B.C. Humans and Forerunners have the same technological level (tier 1) with little differences whatsoever and live in peace in different parts of the galaxy. Human capital: Charum Hakkor.
101,000 B.C. Flood enters the Milky Way Galaxy on the Human controlled space. Humans invade Forerunner territory while fleeing from the parasite. Forerunners, unaware of the existence of the Flood, enter in war with the Human empire.
100,001 B.C. The Human Empire, now almost completely destroyed, finds a cure for the Flood. The Forerunners contine waging war at Humans.
100,000 B.C. Forerunners terminate the Human Empire. A few thousands of humans remain at Charum Hakkor. Forerunners discover The Prisoner of Charum Hakkor , the last Precursor. Later that year Forerunners decide to de-evolve humans to their most primitive state, send them to their original Homeworld: Erde-Tyrene (now Earth) and destroy any remains of their civilization, including the cure. 99,999 B.C. Forerunners, now at the brink of extinction due to their forces weakened after the conflict with the humans, come up with the only way possible for them to defeat the Flood; starving them. The construction of the Halo Array begins, collection of two samples of every species begins.
99,998 B.C. The Halo array is activated. All signs of infection (and sentient life) disappear weeks after. Species are released on their homeworlds.
Where are the precursors now? Nobody knows, as they were able to travel between galaxies, but so was The Flood.
