please give us a vanilla playlist

by halo 5 at latest we are going to need a vanilla playlist. it will have no sprint, it will have a strafe and base movement rate equal to that of halo 3. it will have set weapon spawns and everyone starts with a battle rifle.

do it.

man oh man we’d be lucky

Yeah, lets not make any change and sell us the same game over and over and over. Oh, and release one each year for $60 each. Even though it’s exactly like the last one, and just has a new skin of graphics. Hmmm… That sounds a lot like another cheap generic shooter they do the same thing with… What is it called? God, this is going to drive me nuts.

The difference being CoD is a stale and imbalanced piece of garbage while Halo has always had a good formula.

But sure, change isn’t a bad thing. Armor Abilities and Loadouts might actually be cool…if they were balanced and fun to use. Which they aren’t.

Also OP, you use the word “vanilla” wrong. Vanilla refers to how the game is without any additions or DLC.

YES PLEASE! Let’s not stick to our WINNING formula and keep changing for the sake of change! Because well it works so well and makes everyone happy!!! I wonder why caugh COD caugh has been doing so well over the past decade growing bigger and bigger. It can’t be because they stuck to the roots of their games, people who think that’s the reason why are idiots.

my mistake i guess i mean ‘traditional playlist’…
i agree the loadout system could be done well, and i hope they do so in halo 5. i just hope that part of the game is dedicated to the traditional formula.
peace

Last time I checked, it was because CoD was easy, and has flashing bells and whistles.

Halo takes skill and strategy. Occasionally teamwork. This “oh so horrible change” is what has made Halo different from CoD.

Cod remains the same since 4. They toss in a few new guns and graphics, and slap a $60 price tag on it. I want a NEW game, not Halo 3.5. Halo 3 was a great game. So were CE and 2, but should we REALLY sell clones of those games?

No. Each Halo game has been different than the last. Halo CE started it all.

Halo 2 brought us online, to compete against one another in custom games, or match making.

Halo 3 brought Forge, Theater, even more custom game options, and game changing items known as equipment, lets not forget about file sharing, a way to give to your community.

Reach improved on forge, and gave us the in-game file browser, and gave us abilities to mix thing up a bit, our equipment was built into us, and added more strategy and variety to the way we normally play.

Halo 4 made more improvements on forge, and improved on the abilities to make them all viable options when compared to one another, on top getting to see the return of Master Chief, we get a SECOND campaign with US as the protagonist.

Halo has changed every game, and I’m sure it will continue to change.

Halo is not perfect, nothing created by man ever will be.

I don’t really get how they haven’t done that yet to be honest. It’s not hard at all, and I’m sure people would play it.

I’d buy it, that’s really what I hoping to get in h4. A playlist with no AA, no ordinance drops, weapons on the map w/ a respawn time, no loadouts, BR start, can pick up grenades, no flinch it would be awesooooooome, and no promethian weapons, no boltshot, no DMR. That would be so sweet. Even if it had slayer, ctf, assault, koth all mixed into one gametype. I can’t believe we don’t have a classic playlist yet :frowning:

Honestly I think that’s what they are afraid of. It would be undeniable proof that their changes did not improve gameplay and were not well received by the community. I think it’s an ego thing, otherwise would have been implemented long ago.

Pretty much SWAT with just the BR loadout, and weapons that spawn on the map, except regular weapon damage and no osk to the head. Since swat has no AA and ordinance, seems like they could get it out pretty quickly. The only consideration would be weapon placement and they could tweak those in the future, just give us a decent playlist now, it’s been 3 months.
