I have seen so much hate on not just Halo 5, MCC, and Halo 4. I’ve seen the Halo community die. I’ve seen the franchise die.
If some one told me to list my favorite things of Halo, number one would be us, the community. We’ve always been what made Halo special. Halo’s music? The most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard. The universe? The most diverse story ever. The multiplayer? The most fun I’ve ever had with my friends. Do you know, though, what allowed all these things? Bungie had a community to guide them and support them. I don’t think Bungie would be ashamed of 343. We’re the reason Halo’s dying.
I wouldn’t worry too much if I were you. These forums make it seem like everyone is trying to drag Halo and 343 down, but that’s not true. Those of us who support Halo 5 don’t have much to say, because we’re happy with what 343 is doing for Halo 5 and all we can really do is wait for them to release it. All of this hatred isn’t anything new, it happens every time a new Halo game is released. The intensity of the hatred may vary, but it happens every time nonetheless. Besides, Halo 5 has how many preorders now? I don’t remember the exact number, but it was well into the thousands. So relax man, Halo will be fine.

Chill man, Halo 6 is confirmed and I believe up to Halo 9 is confirmed too. Halo 4 originally was the 1st instalment of the Reclaimer Trilogy but Microsoft extended that to Halo 9 thus it’s now known as the Reclaimer Saga.

Wait, what? Halo 9? Where did you hear about that?
343i is good in my opinion. I’m not a huge Halo fan or anything, but just from playing Halo 4 and Halo 5 beta, I’ve enjoyed 343i’s game and beta much more than I have Halo 1, 2 and 3. Very excited for Halo 5: Guardians. If it’s anything that would push me to getting a lot more into Halo, it would be Halo 5. I like that they’re going back to having a more structured/competitive online, but they’re not trying to keep it exactly the same. Can’t wait to see how the single player is.

Yeah exactly, I wouldn’t worry too much. There are a lot of Halo doomsday community members who believe the franchise “is a shell” in comparison of what it used to be, and that certainly isn’t the case. Halo certainly isn’t dying, the extremely vocal and pessimistic few don’t represent the majority of Halo players. Like Rhydon says, the pre orders for Halo 5 are already in the thousands, and despite what naysayers keep saying, the Halo 5 beta was extremely popular and generally well received. Many of the issues fans took with the beta have been addressed, and that should make people even more excited.
Don’t worry about Halo dying, it isn’t going anywhere! Microsoft has too much riding on this franchise to simply let it fade and it looks like 343 is making a clear and conscientious effort to return Halo to its glory days while modernizing it for a 2015 crowd.
I’ve never needed to give 343 another chance. In my opinion, they’ve always done a fantastic job with their Halo games and I can’t wait for Halo 5! It’s going to be amazing!

I’ve heard it from multiple sources but I cant remember specifically but I’m pretty sure of it. It was originally known as The Reclaimer Trilogy but got extended so it’s now The Reclaimer Saga.
Halo 4 and the MCC deserve all the hate actually. Halo 5 on the other hand…I don’t really know. I want to believe in 343, because H5 is a lot of fun and they added some good things to the new multiplayer but also really bad ones(ads).

Wow, that’s so rousing and inspiring.
Of course, you assume 343 = Halo. To which I say ha. Ha ha. Ha ha ha.
Halo should have died with Bungie. It was a great franchise at one time, but now it has been dragged out so long that they can’t release new games without gimmicky gameplay mechanics.
343i has shown they are much better in story telling and character development than Bungie. And that IMO, is the No. 1 important aspect for any Halo game.

I agree with the author, the Halo community was the best but now we are too divided.
343i need to proove the we can again be the greatest community ever!
