Please Fix the B.S Aimbot AI Already.

The AI are just broken in Firefight. Period. Getting headshot by an AI who wasn’t facing my direction at all is NOT right.
Getting blown up by Promethean Knights who shot a incineration cannon through their back is also not right. AI should be facing your direction when shooting at you, not shooting you sideways while looking at a wall or another player.

The issues are most common with all Promethean AI, Jackals, and Elites.
Elites throwing curveball grenades while not facing you, sticking the head or chest almost every single time.
Jackals sniping from across the map with plasma pistols, needlers, and beam rifles even when around corners. (due to bullet magnetism)
All prometheans landing precise shots when not facing you, regardless of what weapon. The ammo always phasing through their back. This is most common with Knights and Soldiers, but is also an occurance with Crawlers and even the Warden.

Please fix this. It happens every AI encounter anymore.

You have listed pretty much most of the reasons I quit playing firefight.

It’s not fair. I at least think players should recieve a special REQ pack as a “I’m sorry our AI spawn trap you and make you lose good REQs before you can even use them” apology. I’ve lost so many good REQs due to horrible spawn locations and the AI sniping me.

I quit using REQs in Firefight not long after it came out. I can almost tell by round 2 if it will go the distance or not. I’m not going to waste REQs when nobody else is making any effort. But i’ve pretty much quit playing it completely now anyway for your reasons as well as others.

Ai can also tell when you are out of ammo which seems odd because how would they know.

Honestly, I never have issues with the AI on Firefight. Firefight almost feels too easy to me actually. But then again this is coming from someone who’s played all the campaigns on legendary multiple times over. Maybe I’m just used to the AI mechanics and know how to counter their god-like aim.

Imagine the AI pushes you back to your spawn and begins farming you, calling in nornfangs and phaetons.

Redacted. Not interested in a lecture.

My advice is to take crawlers, Jackals, and Grunts out ASAP. They deal massive DPS, especially in groups. The AI are always week when dropping or warping in, as the AI really don’t react you you for a good bit. Take the little guys out, then bob and weave the soldiers and elites.

Soldiers and elites are 1HKO from the back with melee, assassination, or shoulder charge. Use that to your advantage.

Frequently make use out of naids and weapons, as there are tons of drops since there are tons of enemies.

When in doubt, run them over with a scout Warthog or any Ghost. Road kills are the Firefight lobbies where I go over 100 kills. It’s highly effective especially in the first 2 rounds.

Never fight soldiers, knights, or Elites cover. You need to be proactive about hiding to heal, rather than reactive. I move for cover once my shields half to 3/4ths depleted. Cuz if you move for cover right as your shield goes down, you WILL be popped for a headshot literally half a second before you hit cover.

AI have lots of boundaries. Learn these areas and it gives you a nice place to put your back up against something to narrow your attention forward.

AI rarely pursue you when you are in cover. They know when you are one shot, when you are low on ammo in your clip, and when you have no nades. So the less of these you give them, the less likely they will push your cover.

On my other account I have completed all the campaigns. That was long before 343 nerfed Halo 5 Legendary because people “couldn’t complete it.” In my opinion the Warzone FF AI are just way too difficult and the coding for Firefight is so full of bugs. Not even in campaign did I suffer aimbot AI issues. I too enjoy Halo on a simpler difficulty and also think the population shouldn’t be held to the standards of Legendary players since everyone plays at their own comfort level, Matchmaking campaign alike.

Invisible Knight? You mean like this OP? I’m still in the tunnel, yet a Knight killed me.

…You say this to me as if I’ve lost a bunch of FF matches. I’ve won Far more FF than I’ve lost and am often near the top of the leaderboard and I still think it’s too hard. But I’m not interested in a lecture.

unfair deaths like spawning AI on top of you, or the fact AI have 100% accuracy and their ridiculous damage make the game boring and a waiting simulator, i mostly top the leaderboard but firefight is too much of a “spam REQs or you don’t have fun” and at that point you just get spawn killed by a teleporting solider that takes way too long to kill by yourself

I agree with this, I mean it’s not exactly fair in some cases. I try to move sometimes anticipating the the AIs shots and the bullets just do a 180 and follow me, like wth?

I have tons of theater clips where the bullets follow me around the corner and land a finishing blow to the head, that’s plasma bolts and the Light rifle rounds.

It’s not that it’s hard, it’s tedious.

The AI doesn’t get dynamically any better or more challenging. They just have Aimbot level AI, range that goes beyond draw distance (so basically they start shooting invisible bullets at you), and the ability to take you down in a few shots.

And in the event that they are behind, they do things like shoot behind them, a rate of fire that isn’t conceivably possible, and instant regeneration.

> <.< alright then. I just figured since you can’t or won’t beat a Halo on legendary, that you were bad at Firefight or something. My bad

People are bad at Firefight because it’s harder than traditional Legendary, the AI have greater aim to a complete bugged fault. Firefight requires teamwork which isn’t done. Coordination is key, that’s why people fail at Firefight.
