Please fix the attachment points on the Razorback

The attachment points on the razorback barely work between campaign & multi-player. It’s frustrating, time consuming, and makes it very difficult to run solo with a razorback for objectives because I cannot get the prompt for attaching things because the hog isn’t completely flat or it switches back and forth between getting in the back.
My proposal to fix it would be to allow us to have a prompt to hold Y/drop weapon when looking at the attachment points. This way both options to either get in with the objective or just attaching it to the razorback are available.

I had to jump a few times to put a fusion core on one for the achievement, but how important is this ability in the game if we’re being real here? How many people haul power weapons or cores in the back of their razorback lol.

It’s like being able to operate the fork lift in previous games. It was just a cute gimmick and nothing more. At least that’s how it feels for me.

I agree, it could use some tuning. Especially when under fire it is much more likely to jump in the back rather than stow the objective.

I agree, the trunk feature is kind of redundant but still, if 343 insists on making it a staple point for the Razorback, they might as well get it working right.

And I think the real issue here lies with “X” being over-used for soo many different things like: Pick up weapon/equipment, Swap weapon/equipment, Get in vehicle/turret, Get out vehicle/turret, Reload/vent weapon, Hack Door, Pick Up Flag/Ball/Seed, Revive, Hi-jack thing, Attach Power Seed, Attach weapon, etc…

Our X button gets as much action as the right trigger does.

For me, I need the function to work right when I’m one man army’ing cause my team is bogged down defending. Being able to snag the flag or seeds and seating them in the razorback before the enemy team is ontop of me is very critical and I got no time to be f*cking with seat hopping or spending precious seconds on finding the sweet spot. I just need it in the trunk so I can gtfo.

I’m glad someone pointed this out, I forgot about it as I’ve stayed away from BTB for the most part.

I’m going to retract what I said early for one little detail I forgot about. But there is an actual good use for ability to store stuff in the back in one particular game mode, and that’s the BTB mode were you have to grab power cores and bring them back to the base.

If you can store cores in the back, then you can probably grab an entire supply’s worth and bring it back to your base at once with the razorback.

Honestly I think the Razorback is one of the best additions to the game because of the capability to one-man capture the flag  I’ve done it, I’ve seen other people do it (there was a game where my team pulled off a whole Power Seed heist with two attached to the back and everyone else jumping in the seats with Power Seeds), and its just a great option to have in those CTF games when the rest of your team is pretty useless when it comes to getting the flag, which is often in my experience.

But yes, grabbing that flag and trying to slap it on the back of the Razorback when you’re under so much pressure cause you know the enemy team is about to call armageddon down on you really can lead into that terrible moment when your Spartan hops on the back instead. Would really like to have a smoother application of it or at least make attaching whatever item you have (Flag, Power Seeds, etc) be the prompt that has higher priority than jumping on the back of the RAzorback.

You can stow 2 in the back. If you’re fully loaded with teammates carrying batteries (who decided that seeds was the right word??) you can carry a full points worth.

They need a Selection wheel with Options or the ability to Double tap or Hold a Button and Select options quickly from a wheel or similar feature.

Sometimes you’ll be standing over several weapons and the oddball and can’t pick up what you want easily.

Ah yes, the good ol’ AR juggle.

I got killed while solo running away with the flag because I got into the rear seat instead of attaching the flag in spite of pointing my crosshairs at the rear mount… And I had to do that because my team was ducking around playing big team slayer on CTF match.
The same happened with storing seeds into back mounts. The attachment hitboxes are really wonky.

I think coming from the back to the razorback should default to the ‘store’ option, while coming from the side should default to the ‘enter’ option.
Or there should be an option to rebind this function entirely - especially on a keyboard, we have a few buttons left to bind additional functions to… But the game is controller-optimized.

If they made it so that holding the weapon switch button would attach the objective/weapons, that would mean PC players would have to scroll their mouse wheel or click it, i think.
Im not on PC so i cant really say if that would be optimal but do say if that sounds good or not or if you have a better suggestion?
