Don’t see a flaw here…game was pretty close. The visible ranks make the difference look big but the skill gap probably wasn’t that large. There’s also a tiny population near the top.
There are definitely some issues with the current system.

Agreed. I think we should at least learn from these mistakes for infinite if we are not to fix them in halo 5.

You need to first learn how the current system works. Theres a good FAQ pinned at the top of this forum. Most people’s complaints are unfounded or a result of the small population, not the ranking system. At the very least, your original complaint (from 6 months ago) was about the matchmaker, not the ranking system.
