Title says it all. Since launch Halo 3’s directional sound while using headphones and 5.1 surround sound etc. is broken.
When things happen to your right, they sound like they are coming from the left, and vice versa. Sound infront of you sometimes sound like they are from behind you, and vice versa. Its completely disorienting to the player and ruins a big part of the game for me.
Its important to note that ths isn’t a problem on my end, every person that I know that uses a headset experiences this. It is not a once-in-a-while thing - it is a permanent problem that is always happening.
Secondly, the gamm setting for H3 is way too bright. Everything looks completely washed out and “pale”. Again, this is not a problem with my monitor, as everyone else I’ve talked to all of my friends and they agree with me. Flipping back to H3 on 360 you can clearly see how much better the colors are. On the 360, H3 had an in-game setting that allowed you to adjust brightness - I believe this is where the problem lies since you aren’t able to adjust the in-game brightness in MCC. Please fix this 343.

I understand that you may not think you have a problem, but its most likely that you just haven’t noticed. To be specific, the problem occurs when playing on Dolby Surround sound, not stereo. I’ve tried playing on stereo but you do not get the “3D sound” that you would normally get, so that isn’t a solution. You either do not have a surround sound capable headset (most are just stereo), or have your sound set to stereo. Trust me - the problem is there for anyone using Dolby.
