Dear 343,
Why can’t you stop releasing broken content? And how in the world do you manage to further break content that wasn’t broken before?
I love Forge. I’ve been Forging since the beginning. Forging is what inspired me to get on the path of Game Design. Yet every single step I try to take in Halo 5 Forge is only met with failure and disappointment.
I Forged after the Reach update or whatever. It was fine. Worked great. Made a map. Then was done with it. Saw all the cool new stuff you added and got excited. Started playing.
On my second night of playing, I’ve encountered countless different issues that were NOT PRESENT BEFORE. For starters, why in the holy hell would you add boundaries to the surroundings of the maps (specifically Parallax)? Why can’t I fall to my death if I want to now? Because now, when I’m messing around in Forge and wanna replenish my ammo, I either have to wait ten seconds, or build my own death trap or ammo dump. Which is ridiculous.
It takes numerous seconds to do everything. Grabbing objects in Forge, switching in and out of Forge mode. Everything is somehow slightly worse.
The hit detection for grabbing objects is now beyond broken. I was looking directly at an object, clicked it, started moving it. However, I had not in fact selected the desired object, but somehow grabbed the object that was above AND behind me. Then there are objects I can look directly at and not select, while others I’ll look in the opposite direction and have highlighted.
I can’t copy grouped stuff anymore. I made a platform that I wanted to copy, so I did. Next thing I know the entire platform is caught in an infinity explosion, along with any rendition of the saved prefab, in any map (including welding it).
Not a single, damn, thing works anymore. For the love of god, PLEASE, stop giving us eighteen more battle rifles that we DON’T WANT, and FIX THE GAME YOU KEEP TRYING TO PUSH OFF ON US AS “WORKING”. This is by far the worst Halo game in history. And I sincerely hope you get it together before you perminately lose a diehard fan.
Sincerely,
A Creator with a Broken Forge
