Please fix Conquest on Paralysis v1.0

This gametype in Action Sack is broken - the powerups instantly respawn, making you invulnerable (except from assassination’s) but it leads to spawn killing and everyone leaving.

I’ve posted this before and filed tickets and they always get closed.

Video attached; nobody is having fun here.

This is in Action Sack!? I think I last played this before Halo 4 was released on PC. I wish I could get into a game like this, it’s the kind of objective-based thing I enjoy but I can’t actually choose to play it with MCC’s matchmaking. RNG sucks.

Is it possible to save the gametype and forge map from your recently played? If you have space on your fileshare to share it I could look through for exactly what’s going wrong.

Yes, its in Halo 3’s Action Sack rotation. There are a handful of conquest maps, but Paralysis V1.0 on Foundry is the broken one.

I saved/added to my file share. GT: The FFA Panda, feel free to grab it. Cheers.

Got it! Thanks! I’ll respond to the thread again after I’ve given it some more thought.

From a quick glance into the settings for the custom powerup:

  • It makes you gold colored
  • Gives you 75% gravity (and technically 100% movement speed but that doesn’t change anything)
  • Makes you deal 75% damaga.
  • (Prevents you from gaining shields from dealing damage but no one can do that anyway.)
  • Makes you invulnerable to damage
  • lasts 10 seconds

I thought it would work like a regular overshield and give you a shield boost. Halo 3 and Halo: Reach have the overshield make you invincible while you regenerate your shields so that you can always get the buff. The point of this thing seems to be intentionally making you invincible as the buff. My immediate reaction is that it’s simply balanced badly.

Loading into the forge map, both are set to have a respawn timer of “60” but the minimum count allowed is 2. Since there are a total of 2 placed on the map this means that they will instantly respawn.

This is just busted. I think it’s intentionally set up like this but since this game is so rare and nothing is explained it’s a crap shoot of who can figure everything out the fastest while beating the other team. I think I even know how to get out of the map to try capping the enemy team’s spawn hill directly.

I’ve played that and it’s incredibly frustrating, especially when the whole enemy team just camps it. Especially because otherwise it’s a game I actually enjoy quite a lot.

Its extremely simple to get out of the map, making it worse.
