A simple LT and X button switch would be much appreciated

For the most part they’re fine. I don’t have a problem with any of them except for Bumper Jumper, as that one is just bally well useless.
sprint throws the whole layout off for all options

I think it does. I liked Bumper Jumper in Halo 3 but switched to default in Reach due to the fact that it was far easier to aim while flying with jetpack.
The Halo 4 Bumper Jumper configuration has alleviated this problem by switching grenades and AA. Sure, you lose the ability to throw grenades as conveniently as before, but you gain the convenience of aiming while jumping and jetpacking. It’s a tradeoff, but I would choose the convenience of aiming while jumping and jetpacking over the convenience of throwing grenades.
