Seriously. Please fix this mess. Since the weapon tuning update, the maps have been horrendous. They’ve all been made worse. Take the mantis out- that thing makes games boring. Don’t have an abundance of Gauss Warthogs and Banshees on the maps. Fuel Rod should not be on any map. Oh and get rid of Slayer Pro. No-one plays it.
I play Halo 4 for fun, but since the update games have become incredibly boring. A change back to pre-update Big Team would be much appreciated.

Actually, no it isn’t a lie - it’s an observation and one I happen to share.
Since 343 began mixing “Pro” in with “normal” BTB Slayer and Slayer, I have noticed that a lot of people (30 to 80%) just quit during the vote or shortly into the game if the only choice is “Pro”. And if they have 2 maps of “Pro” and one map of “Normal”, the Normal almost always get voted in - regardless if it’s even a Map people hate (like Settler or Complex for BTB).
What needs to be done is have separate list for Pro and Normal, then people know what Game they are getting into. And that applies to any List. If it has multiple game types call it “Mixed” or “Grab Bag” or anything you want - but don’t make it sound like your picking one game type. If I select BTB Slayer - I want to play BTB Slayer - not something else.
This is why the number of players keeps dropping - the game play is horribly random now in the new map tuning and now I don’t even know what game type or map I will wind up with either.

People got pissed over personal ordinance and the overall abundance of power weapons and low effort required to get them and what do they do? They put tons of power weapons on the maps and put a near-instant respawn for them. Getting really tired of fighting for this game. WTH.
I was hoping I would find someone with the same mindset as me. BTB is my favorite playlist but is getting boring. I play halo to have fun and de-stress. All the update’s have done is made me even more stressed. The maps are not even fun anymore. Way to many vehicles for one thing. Pro sucks. I have seen the same thing that others have said about the voting. I haven’t played a Pro match since the first couple of days after it came out and I mistakenly voted for them. Now no-one votes for them. The fact they crowd the map voting screen makes it so that people are forced to play the same maps each round.
I have also noticed the pre-game quits and the lack of votes for “pro” settings.
If any playlist has the daily population to be split into two it’s BTB. A good idea IMO
It is more correct to say that the majority do not vote for Pro.
Fact is,when all three map voting options are Pro, obviously, people are voting for Pro. However, some leave the lobby as soon as they see three Pro options and others leave soon into the game.
When two options are Pro and one Infinity, the vast majority of the time Infinity wins and, most often no one votes Pro but sometimes you see a token one or two votes. On rare occasions you see a battle between the Infinity and Pro votes and Infinity usually sneaks again, even then.
When its two Infinity and one Pro, Infinity the vast majority of the time wins.
When all three are Infinity, well, duh.
Fact is, people do vote for Pro.
Fact is, Pro is a niche small supported game type.
I like Pro but love Infinity.
Another factor I would guess is that the higher CSR’s get grouped together and maybe choose pro, so its more likely the higher your CSR that pro will be chosen.
Thats just supposition.
I prefer IS to pro, and will back out at lobby if all 3 are pro.
I played 4 or 5 games of BTB yesterday and all were IS, but unfortunately they were again either Vortex or Meltdown. Thats why people are getting irked, as we are now in a MUCH worse situation than before for map rotation, before pro was imposed on the BTB playlist. 343 you had better do something quick about this, dont leave it a month. There are threads galore about this, its obviously a hot topic.
Yeah, it will probably be Christmas or New Years before I see an Infinity Slayer Matchup on Ragnarok or Exile again. Longbow was always decent, and Vortex and Meltdown were garbage.
Now Longbow is a little overdone, if toned down a bit, it could be good. The changes on Vortex actually forces the battle to not just take place in the middle building, so IMHO that is the only map that benfits from it. Meltdown is just garbage, and will always be garbage, maybe with LESS power weapons and no Mantises that map could be alright!
Settler is alright and could be tweaked. I think most people like it because it’s the better choice out there since we never see Ragnarok or Exile anymore. If enough people downloaded the map packs we could have a bigger selection.
I love Slayer Pro settings, but not in BTB where no one has a mic, and I have to work hard to guess where the other team is across the map, and around me. Sometimes you just wanna take a break from Dubs, Throwdown, or Snipers and hop in a Banshee and wreck some fools without everyone having a Sniper, Rocket, Splaser, or Incineration Cannon.
